Len, a successful music producer, quits his job and exiles himself to upstate New York. His rural, lonely existence is interrupted when his son, an aspiring musician, pays him a visit, closely followed by troubled pop star Zoe. When Max tries to muster up the courage to play his demo to his estranged father, Zoe's own problems cause their unspoken issues to resurface.
