Brad arrives in Bushwick to meet with his cousin Jeffy who has promised him a room to rent and a record deal, neither of which he is prepared for. Having his friend Luis shuffle Brad out to 'Bed Bugs and Beyond' for his baptism of the local bar scene, Jeffy takes the opportunity to dispose of Pavel D, the Estonian ecstasy dealer currently squatting in Brad's room with two European girls.

Jeffy gives Luis the lowdown on the scheme to convince Brad that a record executive indeed wants to sign him but can't. Just when Brad's hopes and gullibility appear to be wearing thin, Gaia steps in with some sagely advice and a super-Reiki hug that brings the whole loft family even closer.

Loft mate and aspiring visual artist Chlois has decided to leave on account of chronic disrespect, high rent and a dead-end career. Jeffy convinces her to stay by promising to sell her painting, which now involves his arch nemesis: the highly successful and entitled art dealer Bryce, who has stolen his lady love. Also, Brad has a surprise visitor.

Brad, Jeffy and Luis are tricked into becoming caterers and must serve the pretentious art snobs of Brooklyn. Jeffy pursues the woman of his dreams in enemy territory. Julie waits for the perfect opportunity to surprise Brad.

Julie reveals herself to Brad and floors him, literally. While Jeffy has had enough to drink, Brad has had enough of Jeffy...
