When one of his gang is mistakenly shot by a rival organisation, Nidge plays the diplomat, but a mad drunken Paddy's night slides out of control towards disaster.

Nidge sets out to persuade Dano he had nothing to do with his father's disappearance. Realising that a scapegoat needs to be found, he turns once more to Darren for help.

Nidge tries valiantly to keep things together, staying on side with Dano and as promised bringing into the country a cache of AK47s, small arms and explosives.

Pressure builds on Nidge as the leaders of Dano's organisation send an inquisitor down from the north to thwart him, and matters only get worse as his lies start to catch up with him.

Donna reports Siobhan's rape to the police. Detectives ascertain what happened to Git and prepare to swoop to arrest the gang.

Nidge hides out in a dingy hotel, contemplating a new life in Spain, but knows it is only a matter of time before Dano and his gang catch up with him.
