MasterChef Australia Junior

From over 5,000 Applicants the top 50 Junior cooks gather for the first challenges of the Junior MasterChef Series.

Today the remaining 30 kids have their chance to cook their best dishes for a chance to make it through to the top 20.

The top 20 learn that they will be cooking in an invention test with two core ingredients.

The excited top 12 arrive at the MasterChef Kitchen for the first time.

In their first offsite challenge, the kids are divided into teams to take over a High School tuck shop for the day.

It's the first MasterClass of the series and while the top 12 have a well-deserved rest, 10 kids from our top 50 join us for the first Cook-along MasterClass in the MasterChef Kitchen.

In week 2 the kids find out that they have 3 more chances to win points before the first elimination.

Today four kids will be going home and eight will move onto the second stage in the Junior MasterChef competition.

It's MasterClass time and 12 lucky students from Bangalow Public School in Northern New South Wales join Gary, George and Anna.

The scoreboard has been wiped clean and to earn points The top 8 faces a basic skills test, a few of them will be knocked out in each round.

The Blue Team Sofia, Jack, Cassidy & Nick face a pressure test.

In Today's MasterClass the Judges are joined by 6 Members of the Stephanie Alexander Kitchen Garden program from Bondi Public School.

The top 8 battle it out for two spots straight through to the top 4. In the first challenge of the day the contestants will each choose an ingredient for their fruit Mystery box challenge.

With Sofia and Siena through to the final 4 the remaining contestants compete in a Superchallenge for the last 2 places.

It's the last challenges before the finale and our final four all want to be there at the end. They will face 2 challenges, the winner of each challenge will make it through to the Finale.The first challenge is a Food Heroes Dinner Party.

Before Jack & Isabella compete for the Title of 'Australia's first Junior MasterChef' the 10 eliminated contestants return and in a fun competition split into 2 teams for the remote control chef competition.
