Matsya Kaand is almost a Stylistic throwback to a noir theme. An honorable thief taking revenge with aptitude, intelligence and charm rather than brawn. Although revenge is the central theme of the hero's journey it is never mean, it's never gratuitous, nobody is killed. Diametrically opposite are the antagonists who are equally cerebral but don’t hesitate to violence.
