Meet The Meerkats

Two rescued groups of meerkats are finding their feet in the Kalahari desert. For the first time, these former pets face the reality of surviving in the wild. It falls on their leading ladies, Zola and Marli, to keep their inexperienced families safe.

Two rescued meerkat mobs face a steep learning curve as they settle into a life of freedom in the Kalahari. Marli's five pups leave the burrow. Zola's Gang crosses paths with a wild meerkat mob and turf war erupts, leaving Zola fighting for her life.

Marli's pups are growing fast. After a fight with the Wild Bunch, Zola encounters wild male Zipho after a new mate. Scar and Shaka settle into the Wild Bunch. Scar defends the group from a cape cobra. Thimba tries his luck joining the Wild Bunch.

Huge thunderstorms mark the start of summer. In Marli's Family, the five pups learn to eat solids and pup Naledi meets a giant scorpion. Zola's new love interest fends off a frosty reception by rival males. Thimba struggles to cope in the wild.

The five pups are thriving, an incredible achievement for their first wild born litter. A new rewilded family comes to town, led by streetwise Bela who's lost her partner. When the Wild Bunch meets a deadly snake, Scar's brother steals the limelight.

Shaka pulls off a coup, stealing his brother's crown and the affections of the queen of the Wild Bunch. Marli and Zweli's pups prove experts at hunting scorpions. And following an attack by a honey badger at her burrow, Bela's future is secured by Arno.
