At the start of a new school year, Mr. Brown has two new students - as well as ten old ones who did not pass their exams.

Jeremy decides to take his class outside the classroom and visit a stately home.

The class becomes excited when Miss Courtney announces Queen Elizabeth II will be paying a visit to their school.

Miss Courtney is excited at the opportunity to pick up where she left off with Albert Collins, the man she was due to marry twenty-five years before, but when he arrives at the college Sid and Mr. Brown become aware of his true motives.

Ranjeet has been working three jobs to save up for a plane ticket so he can surprise his mother in Punjab for her 60th birthday. He gives the money to Mr. Brown for safekeeping, but when Mr. Brown accidentally loses the envelope, the money ends up in someone else's hands.

Mr. Brown needs a place to stay while his apartment is being painted, so Giovanni and Max volunteer their spare room and the whole class decides to come over for a celebration.

Jeremy finds that he has no partner for the school dance and goes off on a desperate search.

It is the end of term and Jeremy decides that his class must appear in the end of term show.
