While Vijay and Anupama's parents think that the two are perfect for each other and want them to get married, the two want to remain best friends. Vijay is drawn towards another girl in college, Neelima and they both fall in love with each other. Vijay even abandons his parents for Neelima's sake only to get betrayed by her afterwards.
