A frustrated Moesha longs for a promotion from "gopher" to writer at Vibe magazine but believes that her boss, Joe Scott, would rather she pay her dues with something other than her writing talent.

Eager to get on the fast track at Vibe Magazine, Moesha pretends to be a reporter to land a Maya Angelou interview. But her ambition, coupled with Maya's advice, leads Moesha down an entirely different path than she'd planned. Meanwhile, Dorian plays the wounded victim role for all its worth after being accidentally bumped by Dee's car, until Dee shows him two can play his game.

Unable to resist the temptations of college life, Moesha and Niecy become regulars on the party circuit, until their attendance at a late-night frat party takes its toll in more ways than one. Meanwhile, Niecy's snooty new roommate- a former child star- tries to be Hakeem's leading lady.

Moesha is flying high after she gets a job tutoring one of the basketball team's star players, until she finds out what kind of game he really wants to play. Meanwhile, Myles' eagerness to be accepted by Dorian's friends gets him into trouble with the police.

Things get tense at the Mitchell house when Frank discovers Moesha has been taking birth control pills - and he's the last to know. Meanwhile, when Dorian is falsely accused of shoplifting by a mall security guard, Moesha makes a big scene accusing the guard of discrimination, but a later discovery makes her eat her words.

Moesha finds her history teacher's remarks racially offensive, but fears that confronting him might affect her grade and cost Niecy her scholarship. Meanwhile, Dorian claims he's been skipping school to avoid a bully, but the truth is a very different story.

A well- intentioned Moesha intervenes to try and stop her once popular hangout, The Den, from being sold to a commercial developer, unaware that Andell stands to make a great deal of money on its sale. Meanwhile, Dorian's involvement in a fight at school puts him in the doghouse with Dee, who has trouble keeping her work and home life separate where Dorian is concerned.

Hakeem and Moesha's friendship takes an interesting turn after he surprises her with an expensive necklace to wear to a homecoming dance she's attending with someone else. Meanwhile, Frank doesn't get the reaction he'd hoped for when he gives Myles his cherished collection of classic Black Panther comics for Myles twelfth birthday.

Dorian pulls an illegal scam involving Frank's credit card, and makes matters worse by lying about it, behavior that could have dramatic consequences. Meanwhile, Moesha and Niecy get the chance to be roommates when Piper goes out of town, but their dream of living together quickly turns into a nightmare.

With Dee sick in bed with a bad cold, Moesha offers to prepare the Thanksgiving feast, but finds herself engaged in a fierce cooking competition with Hakeem's mother. Meanwhile, Dorian gets the wrong impression about his mother's feelings for him when she comes to visit, leading to an emotional confrontation between the two.

Moesha starts having recurring romantic dreams about Hakeem, giving her second thoughts about their friendship and about sharing a room with him and Niecy on an upcoming ski trip. Meanwhile, Dee gives Myles dancing lessons to get ready for a classmate's country club party.

Moesha discovers that some of her college classes are more difficult than she thought; she has a hard time in Chemistry and reluctantly agrees to let Niecy tutor her. B Story: Dorian scams to date a female high school basketball star.

Moesha crashes in Niecy's dorm room after a late night Pendulum party and is horrified to discover that Nicey has also let a male sleep in the room. When Niecy is out getting some breakfast for everyone, the hunk appears from the shower and makes a play for Moesha. B Story : Moesha catches Dorian about to have sex with a teenage girl.

The arrival of Frank's Aunt Hattie brings a shocking revelation about Frank that turns the rest of the family - especially Dorian and Moesha - against him.

Still reeling from the news that Frank is Dorian's biological father, the Mitchells prepare for Dorian's 17th birthday bash, a party that grows more and more elaborate and expensive as Dorian takes full advantage of Frank's guilt. Meanwhile, Moesha gets a new roommate and a new admirer, but her preoccupation with family issues might keep her from pursuing the new romance.

Still angry at Frank for keeping his true relationship to Dorian a secret for so long, Moesha decides not to introduce her father at an upcoming "Businessman of the Year" awards banquet. When she backs out, Dorian steps in, but with a very different introduction in mind for Frank.

Hoping to boost the confidence of her new roommate, Theresa, Moesha asks Hakeem's good-looking friend to ask Theresa on a date but can't leave well enough alone when the date is a success. Meanwhile, Myles and Dorian come to blows - literally- when Myles tries defending Frank.

Moesha, Niecy, and Hakeem go to Santa Barbara for Spring Break. A campus rival spreads false information that Mo is "easy" when her ex-boyfriend shows interest in Moesha. B Story: Dorian hands in one of Moesha's old high school term papers as his own - and gets tricked into actually doing some real schoolwork by Dee.

Having been neighbors and friends nearly all their lives, Moesha and Hakeem wonder if there is more to their relationship.

Moesha and Hakeem explore their evolving dating relationship. Dorian visits Moesha on campus and Moesha sees this as a chance to forge a sister/brother relationship; items begin missing from dorm rooms and all clues lead towards Dorian. B Story: Myles is embarrassed when his pals begin noticing how attractive Dee is.

Moesha and Hakeem's relationship hits a snag when Q returns to town; sparks fly between Moesha and Q; Q invites Moesha to spend the summer (as a road manager) on tour with his rap group. B Story: Dorian, working for his father at the car dealership, "borrows" a new Saturn to do a San Diego job run for Patience.

Hakeem tries to convince Moesha to pass on Q's offer to go on the road with his band, and focus on her priorities: school, family and him. Moesha admits to being too distracted to make a clear decision. Meanwhile, Dorian pleads with Frank to cover his debt before Patience, the gangster he was working for, comes after him.
