This coming-of-age story follows Morris "Mo" Gentry, a teenage African American rapper, who struggles to adapt to life in Heidelberg, Germany, alongside his widowed father, Curtis (Craig Robinson). But when he finds a niche in his rapping skills, he learns to accept the unexpected and pursues his dreams of hip-hop stardom.
