When a friend asks for help selling shares in a dead-end oil company, Tom begins to play with some very big operators.

Despite the obvious danger, Tom moves on to another Neftnik buyer, the ostentatious businessman Cusev. Meanwhile, Fredrik gets a frightening tape.

Tom is arrested by Detective Skurov, then finds a surprising ally when his job is threatened. Fredrik meets his blackmailers, hoping to call them off.

Skurov's investigation is being stopped from above. Fredrik knows he has to run but Tom arranges for him to sell his shares to RusOil.

Tom heads to Fredrik's Swedish cottage looking for the Neftnik shares, but he's attacked by gunmen. Meanwhile Olga finds she's not safe even at home.

As Tom and Skurov close in on the Neftnik owners, Skurov is blackmailed. Tom and Rebecka head to RusOil to complete the deal.

Kruglov takes Olga to meet the mystery Neftnik owner. Rebecka takes evidence to her bosses despite her doubts. Skurov defies orders.

Skurov finds that Tom is with Strelka. He puts together a plan with Rebecka to save Tom and take Strelka down.
