Mr. and Mrs. North

Pam and Jerry are invited to spend the weekend at a famous actress's country home. Upon their arrival, the housekeeper of the home cannot be found, and, they surprisingly find a dead man in the pantry.

On their 5th wedding anniversary, the Norths receive an unexpected package containing bride and groom dolls, and the bride has a bloody dagger stuck in her back. Suddenly, there is a scream from the hall, and in falls a neighbor in her bridal gown, stabbed to death. Then, a mysterious woman appears at the door...

Upon purchasing an old trunk at an auction, Pam is immediately approached by a woman who offers her big money for the trunk. North digs in her heels and refuses to sell the trunk to the woman. When the trunk is delivered to the North home, they find that it contains corpse, but not just any corpse.

The Norths find jockey Eddie Mears' body in the trunk of their car after a day at the racetrack. Coincidently, Mears owned the same make and model car as the Norths, and he kept his car in the same parking garage. Eddie's wife, Zelma, appears to be the obvious suspect, but Pam suspects the garage owner.

Jerry Lawson, a bookmaker working out of Dave's Cigar Store, is suddenly found dead. Tough-talking crime figure, Nick Magnus, accidentally implicates himself in the murder when he accidently calls the North's residence, instead of Lawson's home, and threatens Lawson's life on the wrong phoneline.

The Norths are invited to a memorable birthday party. One of the guests at the party, a lecherous, hammy actor, is stabbed to death while waiting to jump out and yell "Surprise!" Lt. Weigand quickly realizes that any one of the guests at the party had reason to wish the over-the-hill Casanova dead.

Pam and Jerry attempt to help a cartoonist break up a gang of street toughs that are running a protection racket in a nearby neighborhood.

The Norths first meet their new neighbor, Tommy Clarkson, when he tumbles down the stairs and lands right at their feet. Tommy claims someone is attempting to kill him. After Pam's purse is switched with that of Tommy's Aunt Laura, Pam visits the Clarkson apartment to find Tommy nearly dead on the floor.

Pam volunteers as a nurse's aide for the elderly matriarch, Mrs. Dunston Noble, of the once proud, and well-respected, Noble family. A murder attempt has been made on Mrs. Noble's life, and Pam is determined to protect her at all costs, and to bring the culprit to justice.

It quickly becomes clear that the North's new butler, Oliver, lives by his own drumbeat. As he carries on an affair with the married maid next door, his ex-flame adds fuel to the fire as she refuses to see their relationship end. When the maid's husband, also a butler, is found dead, Oliver is the obvious suspect.

Amateur detectives, Jerry and Pamela North, investigate various crimes - often solving the case before the police.

When the Norths visit the country estate of a successful writer that Jerry is attempting to lure to his firm, the party turns ugly when the despised rival publisher, Ned Waters, shows up. After Water's wife downs her husband's drink, and promptly falls dead of apparent poisoning, everyone is a suspect.

Carefully hidden inside a book that Pam checks out of the library one day is a breakthrough formula written by a researcher. It must be valuable information because it turns out that someone is willing to kill to retrieve the document, and all signs point to Potter Industrial Research.

With a flat tire and no jack, the Norths are forced to knock on the door of complete strangers one stormy evening. The homeowners are found to be less than sympathetic to the North's plight. As the Norths are about to try another house, Pam hears something, and notices cryptic writing on a second-floor window.

Curious about a beauty contestant who could be mistaken for her twin, Pam finds herself backstage at the Miss Venus contest where she fills in for the missing Kitty Pomeroy. Kitty has made numerous enemies of her betrayed lovers, and their scorned wives, so it is not surprising when she is found dead.

Someone has been secretly photographing Madame Suzi's latest dress designs and selling them to competing, cheaper dress stores. Pam drags Jerry to Suzi's to see a preview of the latest fashions when a model involved in the dress design stealing scheme takes the stage, and promptly falls over dead.

Lt. Weigand and the Norths become trapped in the rural home of Dr. Arno, an unusual physician treating a homicidal maniac who happens to be hiding somewhere in the house. The group stages a fake murder scene, hoping the mysterious "Patient X" will be drawn out into the open.

The Norths, and their newly married friend Helen, visit Helen's recently acquired country home. Upon arrival, what they find is disconcerting. Helen's Aunt Clara is missing, and a stranger has taken up residence in the house.

A toddler is lost and found numerous times after being left at the North's door. Originally, the baby's mother had dropped off the child after leaving her bookie husband. Everyone from an incompetent detective hired by baby's father to drunks at a bar all attempt to kidnap the baby, all to no success.

The secrets of the Honey Moon Inn become clearer during the North's 5th Anniversary visit to the hideaway. Inn owner Margaret is surprised by a marriage proposal from a fresh-from-prison ex-beau, the murdered sheriff is found in bigamist Chef Francois' pantry, and at least one household member has a secret marriage.

The warden at the State Penitentiary asks the Norths if they wish to interview a high-profile inmate for a potential book. While the Norths visit the prison, a disturbance breaks out that suddenly escalates into a hostage situation, and the Norths are the hostages.

Pam becomes disappointed when the fur coat she thought was her birthday present is retrieved by a store representative, who states that the coat was delivered to her by mistake. As it turns out, a con man, posing as Jerry, had charged the fur coat to the North's account, and then made off with the mink.

Chuck Walker, a family friend of the Norths, is discharged from the Navy for being underage. Planning to head out to West Coast under another name, Chuck first needs to attain some money for his trip. After being involved in a bar fight with a man who is robbed and ends up dying, Chuck is charged with murder.

The manicurist at Jerry's favorite barbershop recognizes a customer who happens to be someone wanted for murderer. Rather than contacting the authorities, the manicurist devises a plan to blackmail the man. However, her scheme goes awry, with deadly consequences.
