The heart monitor beeps steadily. Toadie is in surgery undergoing an operation to remove the bullet fragment from his spinal canal. While Sonya anxiously waits, she discovers a notice at the Nurses Station welcoming a new nurse Belinda Bell.

At the hospital, Sonya refuses to leave Toadie's side and anxiously waits for him to wake up. Steph tries to reassure her that Belinda wouldn't have hurt Toadie and that it was just an unfortunate accident. Despite Steph's reassurance, Sonya can't shake off the guilt she feels for Toadie's condition.

Paige has been rescued from her kidnappers and is in the hospital with her family. She tells them that the kidnappers thought she was someone else and that the real target, Michelle, is still in danger. Meanwhile, Paul proposes a business partnership to Amy, but she is hesitant due to their family ties.

Amy and Kyle have a conversation about Paul's latest investor, and Kyle expresses his doubts about the legitimacy of the investment. However, Amy reassures him that she trusts Paul and believes he has changed. This indicates that Amy's relationship with Paul has improved, and she sees him in a different light now.

Amber confronts Josh about kissing her, and asks if he had hoped it would lead to them getting back together if he moved to Brisbane. Lauren tells Brad that Amber is moving to Brisbane and that Josh is considering following her. However, Amber tells Josh he should stay behind in Erinsborough to deal with his personal issues.

Amy starts to worry that shes taking advantage of Kyle in enlisting his help with the gazebo business. She points out that running a business together is one of the things that drove a wedge between her and Liam and seeing her concern, Kyle asks if she wants him to back off and leave the business to her and Paul.

Mark is showering Paige with attention after her kidnapping and Paige cant help but love it. Seeing Marks concern for her she agrees to be careful and to stop worrying about Michelle. But when Michelle turns up at the Turner house bruised and begging for a place to stay, Paige finds she cant turn her back on her new friend.

Nervous about Belindas warning, Sonya enacts her plan to push Belinda and Steph closer together. Belinda helps Toadie begin his rehab, but its Steph who wins a victory when she encourages Toadie to stand for the first time in months. Belinda struggles to spend time around Steph, and finally comes clean about her suspicions of why Sonya offered her the job.

Amy is stunned to learn the truth of Pauls gaslighting of Steph when Sonya accidentally lets the details slip. Shes on her way to stage is surprise birthday party, and suddenly finds herself uncomfortable at the prospect. Amy is determined to hear his side of the story, but her attempts to get him alone at the gathering fail.

Jimmy is rushed to hospital following Bossys attack. While Kyle and Sheila try to get to the bottom of what happened, council ranger Carla arrives, having received a complaint about a dangerous dog. Kyle and Sheila defend Bossys actions, but Carla reveals she knows of Bossys recent aggressive behaviour and takes her away to the pound.

Steph is organising a singles night at The Waterhole and is desperate for people to attend she asks Lauren and Terese separately but both decline. Terese changes her mind at Sonyas urging however and decides to attend with Imogen. They arrive to find Josh, Tyler and Brad there. Its awkward. Things get even more awkward when Lauren arrives.

Nate is shocked to learn that Dimato has threatened to harm the Kennedys if Karl speaks out about Michelles abuse. Nate thinks the best course of action is to keep quiet but when the Kennedys insist on going to the police, Nate request some time to consider all other options before they do this.

Its the day the council decide on Bossys future. Kyle asks Amy to come along to the hearing, but she makes excuses, unsure how she feels on the subject. Kyles overjoyed when the council agree to let Bossy return home but only if all the other tenants at No. 26 agree. Sheilas all for it, and Kyle assures her Amy will be too.

Sonya realises that she and Toadie are trying just a little bit too hard to connect, and this is brought into relief when Toadie is bright and enthusiastic about Steph receiving a photo of Charlie. When she confesses this to Amy, Amy counsels honesty. She knows from experience that not being honest can kill a relationship.

A mysterious young woman arrives in Ramsay Street, ruffling feathers first with Kyle, then with Tyler and Daniel when she makes disparaging remarks about the area. At the Waterhole, she tries to swindle a free meal from Sheila by claiming to find a hair in her burger. When Sheila wont budge, she makes a run for it, and Kyle is forced to block the exit.

Reeling from Xanthes bombshell that shes Garys daughter, Kyle and Sheila wonder if this is another trick, given shes got form for lying to them. At the same time, Xanthe refuses to believe their story that Gary is in prison, and her conviction that he would have told her because of their closeness drives the knife deeper into Kyles heart over Garys abandonment .

Following the discovery that Piper kissed Tyler, Terese demands an explanation - and involves Brad in the situation. Piper is told she can no longer work with Tyler, and Brad warns Tyler to keep away from her altogether. When Imogen bumps into Tyler in Lassisters Complex, she accuses him of using her to hurt Piper the night before.

Paige and Michelles friendship seems to be blossoming, much to Pauls chagrin. But after seeking counsel from Amy, Pauls conscience wins out and he alerts Paige to the goings on at the apartment, warning her that somethings going down. Spooked, Paige goes to the apartment to find it full of stolen goods.

After Paul tips Paige off re Michelle and Dimatos plan, she reaches out to him for help realising shes in over her head. Hes initially reluctant but then takes her under his wing, helping her keep a very curly legal situation at bay. She almost gets sprung by Mark twice piquing her guilt and making her wish she was more honest with him from the get go.

As if Paul didnt have enough on his plate, he also gets a visit from Hilary, whos demanding he return the fifty dollars she invested in his failed gazebo business. When Daniel realises Imogen is the one giving Hilary legal advice, he spies a chance to spend some quality sparring time with his ex, and offers to step in and negotiate with her.

Xanthes desperate for money, although shes not living too rough, given shes taken to bunking down in an empty display home. She encounters Piper and the two girls quickly strike up a friendship. Upon hearing of Xanthes money troubles, Piper suggests Xanthe throw a party at the display home, and charge people money to enter.

Paul has held out an olive branch to Lyn and in her vulnerable state she has decided to take it. They begin to bond and Paul feels like hes inching closer to the shares hes so desperate to get his hands on. He even goes as far as approaching Steph to help broach peace between mother and daughter.

Steph is stunned to find out the shares Lyn put in trust for her before she went to jail are worth seventy thousand dollars. When Steph confronts Paul over trying to seduce them out of Lyn, she discovers he wanted them to lease a run down motel, turn it around and make a fortune, and it has Steph contemplating what to do with her windfall.

In keeping with their lets start afresh resolution, Lauren and Brad introduce themselves and are amazed at the coincidence that they are both at the party to celebrate their daughters hens night. Whats more, theyve drawn the same challenge to make someone elses bed to Marks neat standards without getting sprung.
