Two years after the Paramount War, each member of the Straw Hats returns to Sabaody Archipelago. However, a group calling itself the Straw Hats is having everything their way and is recruiting new members.

The Straw Hats finally set up a plan to leave Sabaody Archipelago, while the fake Luffy tries to punish those who insulted him. Things get even more chaotic when the Navy raids both Brook's concert and the gathering of the fake Straw Hats.

The Straw Hats finally reunite after two years. With the help of all their supporters, they set sail for Fish-Man Island. While admiring the underwater scenery, Franky begins to tell the story of a man who protected the Sunny all this time.

With Caribou and his crew hot on their tail, the Straw Hats descend to the depths of the sea to get to Fish-Man Island. And as they’re about to ride the downwelling current that will take them further into the depths, a legendary giant creature rears its ugly head!

As the crew plumb the depths of the sea in search of Luffy, Sanji and Zoro, they encounter the terrifying and mysterious secrets of the deep, including an undersea volcano, whose eruption almost spells "the end" for the Straw Hats as they continue on their way to Fish-Man Island.

The Straw Hats finally land on Fish-Man Island, but they get separated. Luffy, Usopp, Sanji, and Chopper reunite with Camie and she leads them to the Mermaid Inlet where Sanji's "enthusiasm" gets them into trouble!

The New Fish-Man Pirates launch their raid on Ryugu Castle, only to find that the Straw Hats have beaten them to the punch. Meanwhile at Coral Hill, greater confusion ensues when the people of Fish-Man Island confuse Luffy with the Mermaid kidnapper!

Most of the Neptune Army, as well as Nami and Camie, manage to escape Ryugu Castle which was raided by Hody Jones and his clan, but Zoro, Usopp, Brook, and King Neptune are left behind. Meanwhile at the Forest of the Sea, Luffy reunites with Jinbe who has a startling secret to share!

Jinbe relates the intriguing history of Queen Otohime and Fisher Tiger. 16 years ago, Queen Otohime, Shirahoshi’s mother, was trying to teach her people the importance of living in peace with humans. Meanwhile, Fisher Tiger attacked Mary Geoise to free the slaves.

Jinbe shares how Fisher Tiger and his crew journeyed to Foolshout Island to take the former slave girl Koala home, and how it led to Fisher Tiger's tragic death. After his death, Queen Otohime's passion to see her vision come true was renewed and that was when an ill-natured Celestial Dragon arrived at Fish-Man Island.

10 years ago, Queen Otohime returned from her visit to the surface with a promise that seemed almost too good to be true, but when unrest erupted on Fish-Man Island, Queen Otohime's dreams as well as the queen herself were put in grave peril! In the present day, Hody makes his terrifying announcement to all citizens of the Kingdom of Ryugu and the Straw Hats.

The clock ticks closer to King Neptune's execution as the princes move towards a confrontation with Hody at Conchorde Plaza, but as Hody takes more and more Energy Steroids to kill the pain from Zoro's attack, an overdose has unexpected consequences!

As King Neptune’s execution draws near, Jinbe and Shirahoshi are also captured. The king and the princes hear a shocking new detail regarding the assassination of Queen Otohime 10 years ago. When Hody is about to land a finishing blow on the king, the unexpected happens!

Decken faints and Noah begins falling back toward Fish-Man Island. An evacuation order is issued, and the entire island falls into chaos. Fukaboshi reveals the terrible truth about Hody and the New Fish-Man Pirates while Luffy launches an all-out attack on Hody.

With the threat of Hody and the New Fish-Man Pirates behind them, Luffy and the Straw Hats have one more promise to keep - stop Noah from crushing the island! Luffy tries his best to destroy Noah, but at the last minute, the fate of the island depends on some unexpected help.

While the rest of the Straw Hats enjoy the banquet, Robin asks Neptune about Joyboy, the name written on the Ponegliff in the Forest of the Sea. When they are preparing to leave Fish-Man Island, the crew go looking for stolen treasure and Luffy makes a promise with Shirahoshi. Then, they set out for the New World.
