An apparent motorcycle accident on a mountain pass road leads Ellie and Gedeon to a ritualistic spot in the woods. They find out more about the legend of Schinder Jackl. Turek confesses something to Ellie.

During a police operation in the woods a mysterious man surrenders himself, without revealing his name. Gedeon gathers his remaining strength to find Koschlick.

A search ends disastrously and still the officers do not know how the suspects and murders are connected. To solve the case, Ellie and Gedeon have to push their boundaries to the extreme.
