Eduardo misses an important event on purpose for a chance to personally ask Amor about her deceased daughter.

The brief clash between Yna's righteous mother Belen and Angelo's influential mother Claudia results in dire consequences for their respective families. On one hand, Belen gets arrested by authorities while her husband Isko, who has suffered a concussion, is rushed to a hospital.

Though her mother has been acquitted of charges, Yna remains in low spirits for she can only look after her father in the hospital while he suffers from dementia.

Although Angelo is still reeling from his painful breakup with Yna, his love for her remains just as strong as when he risked his life once to save hers.

Life has never been more peaceful for Yna and her family ever since they settled down in Talisay.

Amor's lingering feelings for Eduardo cause her to let her guard down during the charity ball, and she ends up dancing with him- a moment they blissfully cherish without anticipating the consequences of their actions.

The sight of Yna with his old rival David together in Talisay baffles Angelo and compels him to follow them.

Wanting what is best for Angelo, Yna cuts off their means of communication, unaware that he has already recovered and is in fact on his way to see her. The young man's long drive back to Talisay is only rewarded with the sight of Yna and David together again, confirming his suspicion that his one true love has betrayed him.

Still reeling from his breakup with Yna, Angelo becomes aloof even as his family and friends do their best to cheer him up on his birthday.

Yna decides to greet Angelo personally on his birthday, hoping that this will make him happy despite their breakup. Unknown to Yna, Angelo has been drowning his sorrows in alcohol, with his companion Bea Bianca poised to take advantage of his vulnerable state.

Amor scraps all of the schemes she devised against Eduardo in the past, and instead decides to make their companies' merger official before returning to America.

With Angelo convinced that Amor threatened Diego's life, the rift between him, his father and Yna worsens, for the two believe that Amor is innocent.

Knowing that she can never win back Eduardo's trust, Claudia decides to break Amor's trust in him so he can never be happy either. Soon, Amor is fooled into thinking that Eduardo is using her all along to win the election, and the betrayal she feels causes her to change her mind about forgiving him.

Amor's schemes against Eduardo and Claudia succeed one by one, beginning with Eduardo's loss in the election.

Eduardo's downfall continues. This time, he is now behind bars, no thanks to the crimes that his wife committed under his name. However, Claudia manages to avoid the authorities and proceeds to dealing with Caloy.

As a way of saving what little is left of his dignity, Caloy crashes the car that he, Claudia, and Diego are all in. News of their tragic fate soon reaches their families, who all try to cope with their losses.

After losing their parents and possessions, Angelo and Lia are forced to move to Manila, where they are both taken in by a widower named Greg. With the circumstances Greg is in, the siblings must adapt to their new environment, far from the one they grew accustomed to.

Angelo shows his mischievous side when he retaliates against Joy. Unknown to the youngsters, the world is about to get smaller for them, with Lloyd asking Angelo to help him court his longtime crush, who happens to be Joy herself.

Lloyd gets turned down by the girl of his dreams, causing him to disappoint his father and fail to present Angelo's business proposal to him.

Angelo and Joy end up in jail as consequence for their actions, but they are quickly released, thanks to Greg and Lloyd's negotiation with the authorities.

Ever since Angelo learned of Joy's problems with her mother, he cannot help feeling guilty for their disagreements in the past.

Angelo and Joy finally clear their misunderstandings and hit it off as friends. Their newfound friendship could not have been timelier for Joy, as Angelo's foster family readily welcomes her and her cousin upon learning that they need a new place to stay.

The weeks that Angelo spent helping Lloyd in the hope of striking a deal with his father go down the drain, no thanks to Lloyd's brother who caused trouble during their father's party.

Realizing that Yna still hasn't moved on from Angelo, David deems it best to prevent them from reaching a business agreement, a decision that Yna follows for the sake of herself and her family.
