Ash and company reach Goldenrod City. They want to have lunch at Goldenrod Galleria. They meet Whitney and her Clefairy. Whitney agrees to help Ash and co go to the Galleria. Team Rocket steals Clefairy.

Whitney brings Ash and company to a Miltank dairy. Both humans and Pokemon find the Moomoo milk to be delicious. Ash decides to learn more about Miltank. Team Rocket decides to capture all the Miltank.

The producer of Poke talk Radio wants Ash to do a show. Ash learns that everyone in Pallet Town will listen to the show. He gets nervous. DJ Mary tells him to think of the interview like a battle.

The next stop for Ash's next Gym is in Ecruteak City. Ash, Misty and Brock run into Casey before going there. Casey plans on entering the Bug-Catching Contest. Ash decides to enter, but Misty refuses.

Ash and company learn that the bridge will be out for six months. A fisherman offers to take them across if they catch a Sudowoodo. Ash and company see two scientists, Pierre and Marie argue over Sudowoodo.

Ash and company visit the Ruins of Alph. They meet Professor Oak and Foster. They enter a Pokemon park where prehistoric Pokemon are researched. They see Omanyte there. Professor Oak thinks they are real.

Ash and company find a Pidgey being pursued by a Fearow. Ash brings out his Noctowl to help the Pidgey. They meet Pidgey's trainer, Malachi and his grandfather. Team Rocket also has plans for the Pidgey.

Ash and company are caught in a rainstorm. They find an abandoned castle. They meet Dr Anna and her Pokemon medical team. Brock instantly falls for her. Brock and Dr Anna get trapped in a maze.

An old man, Kenzo is impressed with Ash. Kenzo takes Ash to his dojo. Kenzo announces that Ash will be the new Shihan of the dojo. A challenger, Shiro challenges Kenzo. Chigusa takes his place.

Ash and company decide to let their Pokemon out for a day of play. Totodile hits a ball too hard and sends it flying. A fight breaks out between Chikorita and Cyndaquil. Ash tells them to find the ball.

Ash and company encounter a Poliwrath and its trainer, Andreas. They are training for a Seaking Catching Competition. Andreas talks smack about Misty's Poliwhirl. Misty decides to enter the competition.

Ash and company reach a town where a Pokemon beauty contest was being held. Brock meets his friend, Suzy. Suzy decides to enter the competition with Brock and Vulpix. They meet Zane, an old rival of Suzy.

Ash has a stomach ache. Ash and company meet Old Man Shuckle. Ash feels better after having Pokemon medicine. Brock is a Breeder and medicine man, so he is fascinated to meet a fellow medicine master.

Ash and company encounter Gary having a battle with Alex Davis. Alex uses his Alakazam. Gary uses his Umbreon. Ash tries to impress Gary with his new Johto Pokemon. The lights go out in the entire city.

Ash and company spot a Ledian. They face a gust caused by Pidgeotto. The Ledian was training to be a mountain patrolling Pokemon. They meet Benji and his father. Team Rocket captures Pikachu and Togepi.

The Wobbuffet take Ash and company to a nearby village. They meet Nario in the village. He explains that it is time for the Wobbuffet festival. They find an injured Wobbuffet owned by a little girl.

Ash and company meet Duplica, disguised as Nurse Joy at a Pokemon Centre. She was there to attend an acting convention and to have a new Ditto, 'Mini-Dit' examined. Team Rocket steals Mini-Dit.

Ash and company encounter a very familiar butler and his mistress, Madame Muchmoney. They are looking for her Snubbull after it ran off to follow Team Rocket. They find a Mankey with its tail bitten.

Ash and company see a bush with legs. The legs are of an Ariados. They meet Aya. She is trying to catch the Ariados as a part of her training. The sensei invites Ash and company to train at the dojo.

Ash and company encounter an out of control Yanma and its trainer, Zachary Evans. Zachary releases his Yanma on his father's orders. Yanma had caused a lot of trouble by breaking all the glass in town.

Ash and Co see a Skiploom that belongs to Ephraim. Ephraim has a Pokemon battle with Ash. Ash wins. They hear about a tournament for Grass-type Pokemon where the winner gets a supply of Leaf Stones.

Ash and Co visit an apple orchard. Pikachu is caught in the traps in the orchard. They meet Charmaine who set the trap. Ash shows that the bite marks on the apple are smaller than Pikachu's mouth.

Ash and Co see a Houndoom delivering something. Togepi is separated from the group after an encounter with Team Rocket. Misty is frantic about it. The Houndoom sees Togepi and decides to care for it.

Ash and Co reach Ecruteak City. They are attacked by Ghost Pokemon. Morty, the Gym leader tells them that the ghost Pokemon were protecting their home. Ash sees a picture of a Pokemon named Ho-Oh.
