Popeye

Olive presents Popeye with a cute little puppy, Eugene the Jeep, as a birthday present with instructions to make him sleep outside. Eugene refuses to oblige the harried Popeye and winds up sleeping in his bed.

Popeye has a difficult time convincing his Pappy that flagpole sitting isn't the safest hobby in the world.

Popeye starts a one-man anti-noise campaign when his Pappy suffers that morning-after feeling and street sounds aggravate it. Popeye hushes a wailing infant, throttles a factory whistle and deadens an explosion.

Olive wins a sweepstakes and causes Popeye trouble when a gust of wind blows the winning ticket out of her hand. Popeye follows in pursuit and the complications are hilarious till he finally regains possession of it.

A bunch of flies buzzing around his head disturb Popeye's nap and he shoos them out of the window. But there is one fly, obviously a devil-may-care fellow, who resents Popeye's treatment and flies back into the room.

Popeye takes pity on old Rip, who doesn't appreciate the sailor's interest in him.

Popeye is looking at bearskin coats for Olive's Birthday present. Deciding to get the real thing, Popeye heads for the forest where he meets a big bear. After wrestling the huge animal to the ground, Popeye runs off with his coat.

Popeye has trouble when Pappy wants to learn to fly a plane. Pappy nearly drives him crazy in his efforts to become a pilot at Popeye's Airport.

When Olive notices a number of pesky crows ruining her vegetable garden, she calls for Popeye's assistance. We see Popeye's revenge and Olive's reward happen in a comical climax.

Popeye joins the US Navy and routs the enemy in a one-man battle but not before he causes his commanding officer plenty of aggravation.

Popeye's nemesis is a leering hypnotist who attempts to lure Olive Oyl to his home. Olive comes under his spell and a series of hilarious escapades befall her as she wends her way to the hypnotist's abode.

Popeye and Olive go to the bullfights where Olive is smitten by the dashing Matador Bluto. Fortified by his spinach, a jealous Popeye hops into the ring for some fancy footwork. Bluto adds some jumping beans to the spinach.
