The season is coming to a close on the Mississippi River! The river is high and the bucks are on their feet!

Randy Anderson is in Nebraska and South Dakota this week, and the coyotes can't resist his charm!

Lake and Jordan start the season off chasing long spurred gobblers in South Florida at Black Beards Ranch.

There are few tougher places to hunt turkeys than our home state of Mississippi. We test our wits against some gobblers close to home.

Will meets up with a longtime friend and fellow turkey guru Bob Walker as they relieve some old memories and make some new ones!

Jimmy is taking the boys on a field trip to the Lonestar state to show them a thing or two about turkey hunting.

If something can go wrong, it will go wrong! Team Primos is in Iowa and Missouri, and an unammed hunter (Lake Pickle) is having a laughably hard time putting down a gobbler!

Team Primos is in Western Kansas this week at Heartland Pride Outfitters, and are absolutely covered up in longbeards!

Brad & crew hop north of the border into Nebraska and finish up a fantastic Midwest turkey trip!

Lake & Jordan head north to Minnesota and Wisconsin to chase longbeards with good friends Joel Nelson and Dave Owens.

The entire Primos team is headed west, to New Mexico to chase those loud mouthed bugling bulls along the Sante Fe’ trail. Except this season, we have a first time tag holder running with us. Now he’s no new comer to the sport, he’s just been shooting elk with a video camera instead of his Mathews. We’re still in New Mexico, and after a long night of packing out Jordan’s bull from yesterday, Troy and Brad start the day off slow and easy, mainly because these 2 boys are getting old, AND smart they claim. Troy gets caught in the wide open and has to play cat and mouse with a huge bull at 30 yards.

After practicing all summer long Brad finally get the chance to do something he’s wanted to do for a long long time. Match wits with a rut crazed bull elk using traditional archery gear. Will Primos has arrived in camp to fall back and try to get a bull within Brads’ comfortable range of 25 yards or less.

Our good friend Will Walker is in camp and waiting for his arrival is Ol’ Lake Pickle. Lake has some well-earned MRI (MOST RECENT INFORMATION) for Walker when he arrives and these two waste no time rolling right into a rut ball of bulls and cows. They literally have to shoot there way out of from these wide eyed snot slinging bulls.

Everyone has left camp except Will Primos, Troy, Lake and Jordan. With only a day and a half left in the 2019 Archery elk season you can bet Will and Troy aren’t wasting no time saying good by to Brad and Will Walker. The guys grab bows, cameras and packs then hit the mountain hoping to find a bull looking for love.

Jimmy Brad Lake and Troy all come home after elk season to get the deer season started off at Cottonmouth. Warm temperatures make things tough and deer movement is slow, but the guys have a great week and are glad to be back home on the river. At the end of the week the guys decide to head to Kansas and leave Will and Jimmy behind.

Lake and Jordan spent a week this past summer in Kansas hanging stands and doing a little scouting all in the hopes of drawing a tag this fall. And as luck would have it, Brad and Jordan both drew Kansas archery tags this year, and our good friend Jerry Paige has invited the Primos team to come up right in the heat of harvest season and during the peak of the rut.

Lake comes home from Kansas to meet up with Jimmy at Cottonmouth and these two set out to catch up where Brad and Jordan left off in Kansas. But these river bottom whitetails have a mind of their own. It takes a few days to gather all the trail camera photos, do a little scouting and wait on the right wind to move in on one of these mid-November Bucks.

Jimmy, Lake, Jordan, Troy and Brad have not seen Will since September, and Jimmy is loving it. With some cold weather in the forecast and rifle season open in the south, Jimmies’ itchy trigger finger has only one cure that the doctor ordered. Let the Savage eat Jimbo.

Jimmy is unable to make it to camp this week, so this leaves Troy and Jordan all alone on the entire farm. Troy later has to call and beg Jimmy for permission to hunt his personal SECRET PATCH. Jimmy gives the ok, and Troy makes a B-LINE for the Arkansas woods.

Jordan and Troy are still at Cottonmouth, “UNSUPERVISED” and it’s the rut. Bucks are cruising, the river is rising and Jordan has the whole place to himself during this magical time of the season.

Brad and Lake have jumped ship and headed down the river to TOGO Island. Brad is a member on the club here at TOGO and has been hunting here for several years both in Louisiana and Mississippi. Brad is bowhunting and rifle hunting this week at TOGO. And the bucks are up and on their feet responding to calling.
