Taani (Anushka Sharma), a flamboyant girl, is circumstances force her to marry Surinder (Shahrukh Khan), a quiet and down-to-earth man. Surinder disguises himself as Raj, a fun and outgoing man and is the exact opposite of his true self. Taani is drawn to Raj and they enter a dance competition together.
