Saladin the Sultan

Saladin's carefree life as a young boy in Damascus is forever changed when war intervenes, taking the life of his brother. Flash forward ten years and against his father's wishes, Saladin leaves Damascus along with his best friend Tarik.

While working as a guard with Mustafa's caravan, Saladin is taken prisoner by the dreaded Marauders, the pirates of the desert. He befriends another captor, Duncan and together they outwit the Marauder's General Behram.

During a caravan stopover in a remote town, Tarik is kidnapped by a bizarre cult that worships a lamp. Saladin and Duncan set out into the Forbidden Plains to rescue Tarik from a mysterious walled city.

Saladin, Tarik and Duncan inadvertently find themselves on a sea voyage after they are attacked by General Reginald's soldiers at the port of Byblos, while escorting a mysterious woman, Anisa, bearing a valuable artifact.

Salahudin takes sick Duncan to a village, where his old swordsman teacher, Zahir, and his family live. He finds that the Morodors have taken over the village and built an Arena. Zahir's wife explains how men have been forcefully taken to fight in the arena, including Zahir. Now Salahudin goes in to save all the captured men and free the village of the Morodors and his old enemy, General Beham.

In an attempt to help find and rescue Anisa's little sister from the cruel mine owner, Darwish, Saladin himself gets tricked and is sold to work as a miner in Darwish's mine cave.

The Shadow of Death is cast upon Saladin after a bounty is put on Saladin's head. Saladin must now choose between fleeing or confronting the fight ahead against the odds of death.

A surprise visit by Saladin's grandparents turns deadly when Kasim is mysteriously kidnapped by the Franks. Saladin tracks down Kasim only to learn that he is collaborating with the enemy by selling military secrets to General Reginald.

Anisa is hired by a treasure hunter to steal an ancient artifact, which is the key to finding the legendary Treasure Of Marzuq. Greed gets the better of Anisa and she decides she wants a piece of the action.

In a bid to rescue Umar and a mysterious woman named Leesa from thugs at a remote citadel in the desert, Saladin, finds himself along with Umar and Lisa, entrapped inside a bizarre underground labyrinth.

Tarik's friends are concerned about his obsession with building a flying machine. Meanwhile Saladin and Anisa discover a devious plot by Darwish to hold the city to ransom by hoarding its medical supplies.

In this first installment of a two-part season closer, Marauder villagers are being wiped out by the Frank army as their raiding parties begin to clear the way for the incoming attack.

Although Saladin manages to repel some of the raiders from the remote village the incoming attack is imminent. He soon discovers that the attack is destined for Damascus and is advancing through the desert under the command of General Reginald.
