When he comes out of his shell in California a small sea turtle named Sammy finds and loses the love of his life in the ocean swell. He takes a journey across the seas that all turtles must take in search of his lost love. Accompanied by his best friend Ray, Sammy faces all kinds of dangers, both natural and man-made, in search of his sweetheart.
