In this comedy drama, three couples face problems involving their in-laws: Shekhar marries Bela, the daughter of a wealthy trader Mr. Thakur; his sister Gauri is conned into marrying Rajan Murari, the dishonest son of the poisonous Govind Ram who's out to disinherit Shekhar. Sita is separated from her husband, Mahesh and not allowed to live together because Sita's father has not paid her dowry.
