Shades of Guilt

Growing up financially privileged, Theresa and Leon were emotionally neglected by their domineering, widowed father. After graduating from school, they decide to leave home and start a new life. A tragic accident leaves Leon mentally unstable and physically handicapped. Theresa vows to care for Leon, but as his condition worsens and with no hope of recovery Theresa makes a drastic choice.

A moment of distraction has fatal consequences for a young man who crosses the street and finds himself in the path of an oncoming car. He dies at the scene of the accident and the driver is declared guilty of manslaughter – an open and shut case it seems. But questions are raised when investigating officers discover a dark truth about the victim and his cruel intentions in life.

Despite a troubled upbringing Waller has become a successful and well-respected businessman. Retired and leading a quiet life in the country he discovers his younger half-brother, Meinering is sitting in a Brazilian jail charged with drug smuggling. Feeling a responsibility Waller is compelled to help and commissions Kronberg to defend his blood-tie, although he has never meet his sibling.

Holbrecht’s perfect life is destroyed when he is accused of a horrific crime. He maintains his innocence, but is found guilty and sentenced to prison for sexually abusing a child. When released, Holbrecht tries to rebuild his life but is haunted by the past and desires revenge that could see him return to jail. Taking hold of his senses, Holbrecht reaches out to Kronberg to help uncover the truth.
