In Amos Gitai's thought-provoking film, a diverse cross-section of Israeli society converges in a single building, where people of different languages, origins, and generations engage in highly theatrical encounters as they grapple with the current state of affairs. Inspired by the Eugene Ionesco play "Rhinoceros", some begin to transform into rhinoceroses while others resist.
