Spike Team

Six girls-Jo, Victoria, Beth, Patty, Susan, and Ann Mary-are recruited to join Spike Team, the girls' volleyball team coached by former champion Lucky. Although Jo is hesitant to join because of her priorities in taking care of her family, she eventually fills in as team captain. However, her grandmother ends up in the hospital.

Someone has broken into the museum and stolen the medallion from the Olympic Torch. An investigation proceeds. Meanwhile, Jo is about to start a new job at a wellness center. The Spike girls take interest in learning more about Patty's mysterious English boyfriend. Julio ends up getting involved with suspicious thugs.

Jo is impressed with the money she's making after becoming a trainer, but Lucky quickly reminds her of her responsibilities. Lucky takes the group camping in an effort to shape their skills after a disastrous match. Predictably the group uses the camping trip to have some, less than sports related fun! Lucky soon pulls some tricks out of his sleeve in the way of a special guest instructor!

The team's spirit is crushed after they find out that their application to compete in England has been denied. Not to be deterred, Lucky comes up with an unusual training regiment that is a major "fashion faux pas" according to Ann! Meanwhile, Lucky's recent actions have angered Grace and now he must find a way to make it up to her.

The Evertown team is very happy. The chance to win a playoff game in France could send the team to the English tournament. The coach experiments with new training methods. But Lucky's hands are already full as he struggles with the girls' mixed emotions. Meanwhile, Patty is distracted by Brent's odd behavior. At the same time, the boys are organizing a fundraising party for the trip to France.

The Spikes are preparing to go to a road game in France. The Roses are back to challenge them, and the memory of the girls' defeat gets the Evertown team revved up for the return match. Ann Mary's father accuses Julio of trafficking fighting dogs. He refuses to allow Ann Mary to go on the trip with the team if Julio is present. Julio is willing to back out, but will Ann Mary agree?

Ann Mary joins the team at the last minute, the issue with her father resolved. Finally in Paris, the entire team works out with Lucky. Grace makes an important discovery about the Roman legion that brought the Cauldron of Olympia to Britannia, but she is not happy to see Lucky and Priscilla embracing. As French crowds cheer in the stadium, the Spike Team will have to face the moment of truth.

At England's Brightstar College, the Spikes, who are new to the tournament, are disgraced by the Roses, challenged by the school's strict rules, and distracted by their own love lives. Lucky is sidetracked by Grace's jealousy, while Alea finds a map that may lead the team to the Cauldron of Olympia. Meanwhile, Grace is hard at work, but a shadowy figure is following her every move.

It's the first match of the tournament. The Russians will play against the Roses. Fed up with their rivals' attitude, Lucky and his team decide to root for the Russians. Grace and Professor Ball are on a secret mission to an archeological site. Their goal: to follow the map right to the Cauldron of Olympia! But someone is filming their every move.

Distracted by their burgeoning love lives, the Spikes engage in their first match of the tournament. Lucky finds Priscilla's interest in him flattering, but he's ignored by Grace, who is too busy tracking down a coin similar to a symbol on the old map. Once the team discovers a hidden video camera inside a volleyball, they rediscover their group unity, and the hunt is on for a spy!

Although they are fascinated by extravagant Professor Vincent Ball, and by the legend of King Arthur, the Spikes must still confront the Panthers in the volleyball tournament. Between late nights at discos and long history lessons at school, Mark and Phil begin to doubt that the Second Augustan Legion ever possessed the Olympia Cauldron, while Alea has some new ideas of his own.

A strange dream upsets Armand Alea. But the tycoon grows even more disturbed when the map he found is stolen-only to be photographed! Who is after the map? Who is anticipating the team's every move? These questions will haunt Grace and help sow the seeds of doubt. To make matters worse, the tournament's high standards force Lucky to get tougher on the girls.

The Spikes prepare to go up against the Italian team, but when it comes time to play, the girls are distracted. Patty sprains her ankle, but must play through the pain. Coldwater shames the team for their terrible loss and forbids them from going on more field trips. Alea is interested in the Viking Compass and wants to use it in his search for the Cauldron of Olympia!

Lucky must do something when he finds the team falling apart when they cannot stop arguing. As a result, they are not prepared to play against the Chinese team in the tournament, and ultimately lose. Unknowing to Susan, Boyd is giving information on the search for the Cauldron of Olympia to Coldwater. The Spikes take a trip to Stonehenge.

The Spikes make it to the second phase of the volleyball tournament. After the team won't stop fighting, Lucky has them train for the Ironman competition in order to help unify them. Grace takes them back on a field trip to see the Viking Compass, but when they get there they find out it was stolen. Alea hoped to use this compass in order to find the Cauldron of Olympia.

After arriving at the Ironman triathlon, Patty is excited for the opportunity to meet her online boyfriend Brent. After missing him multiple times, she finally meets Brent at the end of competition and discovers a shocking secret: he has two prosthetic legs. Patty is extremely upset that Brent didn't tell her. The team is unified once again.

On their first date, Brent tells Patty how he lost his legs when he was sixteen due to a tragic motorcycle accident. He shares the story of the loneliness and pain caused by it, and how basketball helped him out of his depression. Once he tells her he has a blog where he shares his feelings, Patty feels betrayed. Meanwhile, after Patty doesn't show up to practice, Lucky looks everywhere for her.

Lucky, finding Patty hurt after she found out Brent has a secret blog, offers her some advice. After the situation is misconstrued, Lucky is removed as head coach of the team. Meanwhile, the team meets Sarah, Vito's niece, and she asks them to get into contact with him for her. Vito plans on coming to England. Coldwater, who stole the Viking compass, tries to figure out its secrets.

Following Lucky's suspension the girls struggle with their new coach, Lord Coldwater. As their match with the English team nears, Coldwater puts them through their paces. Meanwhile. the girls reminisce about Lucky's effective, if not unusual training regiments. At the same time, Armand finds another clue that takes the team one step closer to solving their greatest mystery!

The team continues strenuous training under Coldwater's leadership, while Lucky spies on the team from afar. Vicky and Craig participate in a polo game in Caerleon, where Phil believes the ancient Camelot is located. Perhaps the Cauldron of Olympia could be there? A mysterious car follows the team from a safe distance.

Boyd convinces Susan to give him the stone she collected from Caerleon, and he uses it as a pawn to break free from Coldwater's power over him. Susan is heartbroken when she finds out that Boyd has been acting as a double agent. After spying on Coldwater, the girls discover that he is the one who stole the Viking Compass from the museum. The girls must face the English team in the home game.

After beating the English team and making it to the semifinals of the competition, the girls must face the Russian team with Lucky back on the bench as their coach. Phil continues his quest for ancient Camelot, and finds amazing results, but he is not the only one! Lucky goes on a date with Pricilla in order to find out what she knows about the Viking Compass and who she is working for.

After Armand Alea shows up in Caerleon, he and the team follow the compass down a mysterious rock path. They'll have to pass through an underground lake and cross barriers, possibly erected to guard a treasure. Everyone must work together to get through the obstacles. Little do they know Coldwater is on their heels!

Madame Amalia is back, and she has been behind Coldwater's actions the entire time! It is the Summer Solstice, and after the worthy Spikes sit in front of the Cauldron of Olympia and Lucky retrieves the sword of Excalibur, they are charged with the energy that turns them into winners. Mathena saves the group from their demise.
