Mike's in over his head with Nikki and the Mayor's new campaign manager (Heather Locklear). Paul fears a heart defect could make him ineligible for a free life insurance policy, so asks Stuart to stand in for him at the\r physical.

Caitlin has taken over Mike's office and wants to steal his speechwriting job. Mike can't bring himself to fire James, so he appoints him Deputy Mayor.

Mike takes drastic measures to outwit Caitlin after she orders background checks on his staff. Caitlin opts not to turn him and his co-workers in for the good of the Mayor's campaign.

The Mayor's intelligence is tested after a student challenges him to take a standardized exam for 8th graders. Mike can't seem to convince Nikki to reconcile with him. Caitlin uncovers a scheme to ensure the Mayor's success on the test.

Mike's nose is out of joint, and he vows to regain his insider\r status with the Mayor. Carter worries that he's lost his "edge" despite being named Activist of the Year.

Mike and Caitlin are ordered to undergo couples counseling by the Mayor. Carter tries to get Nick Mitchell to donate $50 million to charity but finds out he only has eyes for Stuart.

Caitlin and Mike's chemistry is apparent, but she denies any\r attraction, though Mike feels sure she's drawn to him. Paul stays with Stuart and Carter while his mother-in-law drives the two men crazy with his weird living habits.

Mike "milks" the press coverage when the Mayor gets trapped in a well. Meanwhile, Paul tries to "cash in" on "Who Wants to Be a Millionaire?". The Mayor is removed from the well, and Paul wins a cool million.

To win an influential politician's endorsement, Mike and Caitlin must pretend to be madly in love. Paul suspects everyone's after his money, particularly Caitlin. The Mayor invites everyone to his estate for Thanksgiving.

Paul uses his game show winnings to open a politically themed restaurant, and Mike struggles to resolve a doormen's strike. Stuart's weird girlfriend Deirdre tells Caitlin to stay away from her man, then begins dressing just like Caitlin.

Mike and Caitlin's "joyride" in the Mayor's vintage Mustang comes to a screeching halt when the car is towed and impounded. When it looks like Mike will have to 'fess up, the Mayor hands him the keys to the now-destroyed Mustang.

A misunderstanding between Mike and Caitlin turns their first date into a date of the disaster. Meanwhile, the Mayor, Paul, James, Nikki, and Stuart go to the wrong meetings, leading to much confusion.

The Mayor refuses to attend a political conference unless Mike can get him a love connection. Carter secretly accuses Mike of having a crush on Caitlin. While Carter bungles a press conference, Mike falls for Caitlin's little sister.

Mike tries to raise money for a charity raffle, and Caitlin is humiliated by Stuart's tape of her "Star Search" performance. The Mayor's "Little Buddy" Devin exposes funding problems and suggests Mike hold a raffle.

The Mayor's new campaign commercial director turns out to be someone from Caitlin's past; Paul discovers the joys of wearing makeup.

Mike arranges for Winston to honor the state's first woman voter, a 107-year-old woman named Miss Spencer. Carter enlists Stuart's aid in an undercover "sting" he's launching against a landlord who allegedly refuses to rent to gay tenants.

Mike tries to convince Carter that Alex may have "the hots" for him in this week's episode. Paul is upset with the Mayor, who steals his reporter's thunder.

In "Hog Boy," James reluctantly finds himself competing in a high-stakes pig contest with a former rival. The Mayor bonds with rapper Smooth Daddy, who samples parts of a Winston speech in his latest single.

In City Hall, Mike tries to help Mayor Winston process his grief over his father's death. Paul rediscovers his "Magic 8 Ball," and Carter is aghast that office mates believe in the toy's supposed mystical powers.

The President will be stopping by City Hall to endorse the Mayor's campaign. Stuart and the rest of Mike's crew are given the evening off. At the bar, Stuart advises Caitlin to loosen up, which causes her to get roaring drunk.

In this week's episode, Mike takes drastic action after learning that Caitlin is engaged to her ex-husband. Meanwhile, Paul and James decide to grow facial hair. The office crew goes on a steamy date.

In City Hall, Mike swears off sex for a week to prove he's not just physically attracted to Caitlin. The Mayor and Caitlin's steamy kisses turn steamy in Mike's office.
