Spring Baking Championship

Ten bakers celebrate spring by making spring animal-themed doughnuts and creating watercolor cakes featuring iconic spring fruits and vegetables.

The nine bakers are tasked with creating blue ribbon-worthy rhubarb pies with decorative crusts, and then they have to make larger-than-life, wild and wacky versions of favorite fairground treats.

The eight bakers are paired up in teams to create mashups of two different desserts, and then they make colorful cream tart words that evoke spring -- and are spelled correctly -- at the Spring Baking Championship Spelling Bee.

The seven bakers put a spring spin on Southern classics, turning a can of biscuits into a spring dessert flavored with lemonade, bourbon or sweet tea and then giving a classic Southern cake a makeover with Southern pantry staples.

The six remaining bakers have to create an ooey-gooey marshmallow dessert in a bright Easter color. Then they're challenged to bake and decorate a tropical fruit-flavored dessert that looks like an Easter bonnet.

For Earth Day, the five bakers celebrate the bounty of Mother Nature with wondrous walnut desserts featuring an assortment of flower honeys. Then they must make enchanted forest cakes flavored with wild berries.

The four remaining bakers are charged with making mini desserts featuring rose wine and cheese. Then it's off to the races in the spirit of the Kentucky Derby as the bakers make all-pink party desserts using pink ingredients.

The final three bakers make cocktail-inspired baked goods for Mother's Day.
