On just her second storm chasing expedition, meteorologist Jaclyn Whittal joins stormhunter Mark Robinson in a shocking and gut-wrenching ride through the US Midwest during the most prolific and dangerous tornado season on record. From heartbreak amid the destruction in Moore, Oklahoma to panic and terror in El Reno, Texas, the stormhunters' emotions run the gamut.

It's an ordinary town with a history of heartache. No one knows why Moore, Oklahoma has been the target of 3 mega-tornadoes in just 16 years. On the heels of the May 20, 2013 EF5 tornado, Mark & Jaclyn uncover stories behind the disaster, the recovery and the tenacious spirit of the people of the US Midwest.

Jaclyn is familiar with the destructive power of tornadoes, but this is her first season chasing extreme winter weather with Mark in Eastern North America. As months pass, the stormhunters grow weary, as a barrage of Nor'easters, with hurricane force wind gusts and record snowfalls, hammers Atlantic Canada, leaving several deaths in its wake. The region becomes mother nature's punching bag.

Mark and his crew attempt an arduous hike up Mount Washington, New Hampshire, the highest peak in the Northeastern United States during winter. Months later adventurer George Kourounis joins Mark for a second try, as they battle one of the most dangerous mountains in the world at its peak intensity. What they find at the top is mind-blowing.

Flames fill the sky. An entire city flees in terror. Firefighters bravely rush in. The world watches in terror and disbelief. On May 3, 2016 the intense and rapidly changing weather conditions cause a wildfire to sweep through Fort McMurray, Alberta, causing the largest wildfire evacuation in the Canadian province's history. Mark is on the ground with residents, watching as the tragedy unfolds.

While preparing to descend into Marum Volcano in the South Pacific nation of Vanuatu, adventurer George Kourounis' patience is tested as he encounters deadly wildlife and challenging elements. Meanwhile, stormhunter Mark Robinson overcomes jetlag, illness and exhaustion to join George on this nail-biting expedition. Will he succeed in crossing this feat off his bucket list?
