Strathblair

April 1951 - Alec and Jenny return to Corriebeg.

Andrew returns home from Korea and Umberto leaves Carnban to set up a business in the village.

May 1951 - Umberto sets up business in the village. Sir James leaves for the States, leaving Andrew in charge.

Umberto is attacked and has to close Smiddy. He tells the police and the doctor that it was an accident. Kathleen finds out she's pregnant.

Jennie's mother and father come to stay for a holiday at Corriebeg farm. There are also visitors to Strathblair House in the shape of a face from the Major's past, Julian Swinton and his wife.

Clearing up begins in the aftermath of the burglary at Strathblair House. Umberto is desperate for a loan to get his business underway. Robert has visitors.

September 1951 - The Art Show and Macrae's alternative show ("Our Roots") take place at the Village Hall. Andrew decides to stand as Independent Conservative Candidate at the By-Election.

October 1951 - Public meeting at the Village Hall with political party representatives, to discuss the Hydro Power Scheme. Robert meets Tansy's parents.

It's polling day, and Andrew has lost the vote. Alec and Jenny are at odds over his wish to buy a bigger farm. Flora tells Andrew that she's pregnant and they decide to get married straight away. Angus returns to Strathblair. He is shocked to hear the news from Pheemie of the child.

November 1951. Macrae visits the Stewarts to discuss the imminent wedding. Lady Constance returns from America to find that the wedding is happening straight away due to the circumstances. Andrew and Flora are married at the Kirk and Tansy and Robert have a traditional gypsy wedding. Angus tries to blackmail Pheemie, but Umberto rescues her. Alec and Jenny renew their vows.
