The two tribes meet Jonathan at the first challenge. He declares that in fifty days one of these twenty-four castaways will win half a million dollars and the title of Sole Survivor. He introduces the challenge. Both tribes will send one contestant each to go head to head down the slide to chase an item. First person to get the item on their tribe mat wins it.

With the divisive character of Mat voted out in the first tribal council, the Contenders morale is high and they are united in their goal to bring down the Champions.

The Champions discover that a chicken has joined their camp. After Samuel unsuccessfully chases it down, he names it Jonathan. The tribe decides to fatten it up. Everyone is on board except Moana. She's visibly against the idea.

Anita, Shonee and Fenella go paw paw hunting. The three are in high spirits as their tribe has been doing well at challenges. Steve K bonds with the boys. He teaches Robbie karate, Benji mandarin and he builds a crab trap with Zach. Steve urges the boys to trim the fat by putting the girls next on the chopping block.

the Champions wake on Day 12, Moana and Mat are dAseep in conversation. Moana feels like Mat is a big brother and that's why she gave him her Immunity Idol. With any family though, it's not all love and laughs. Sharn and Lydia in particular, are annoyed with Brian being lazy. This is however all part of Brian's Survivor mental game strategy.

In the Contenders camp last night's tribal council has taken an emotional toll on the tribe the decision the vote out an injured Jenna is weighing on Anita, but it's not the only thing on her mind. Tribe mate Paige has proven to be an untrustworthy member of the tribe.

Heath chases a wild pig down the beach and the tribe jokes about wanting bacon. He and Tegan reflect on their strength as an alliance. In a tribe of nine, the girls currently have the majority. With Tegan in with the women and Heath in with the men, they can comfortably straddle both sides of any decision.

Over at the Champions, everyone's settled in and acclimatised to island life. They all play together in the water as Lydia catches another fish. Lydia continues to build her friendship with Mat and Steve. They're very close. So much so Steve burns off Mat's facial hair.

It is Tegan's second night on Exile Island. She is lonely, and still confused as to why the other members of her tribe voted her off. She is surprised by Anita stumbling out of the darkness, who has also been banished to Exile due to Heath playing his idol at the Tribal Council.

At the Champions camp. Matt and Jackie battle it out to secure numbers within their tribe. Jackie determined to get rid of any strong players decides that Matt should be the first to go.

Avoiding another Tribal Council, the Champion tribe are feeling more united than ever. On a winning streak, and settling into a routine they are really starting to embrace and enjoy being out in the elements. Meanwhile the Contenders are down to six Survivors, leaving three alliances of two, as outsider Paige was blindsided at last night's tribal council.

Benji and Robbie are celebrating their bromance; the fact they are still together and they have the power. Both are feeling very comfortable in their positions within the tribe. Robbie is very happy he has the three Champion girls on side and thinks Lydia is an absolute machine and has muscles on muscles. Lydia is gutted she has swapped tribes and will do anything she can to stay in the game

On the Champions tribe, Mat finds a beehive in the jungle, desperate for anything different than rice and beans. Steve takes charge of the fire building, unleashing his inner pyro. The fire soon rages out of control. Brian jokingly worries about Steve and his firebug tendencies.

After sending Heath home in the last night's tribal council, the Contenders meet up with the Champions and Jonathan reveals the much anticipated tribe merge. The tribe members are ecstatic!

In the wake of sending home HUGE physical threat, Lydia, Benji and Robbie realise they were never part of Mat's main alliance and are now at the bottom. Sharn is feeling uneasy about her place in the Champion's alliance.

We start Day 34 on survivor celebrating Steve 42nd birthday. Next up they have a reward challenge, where the tribe is competing for the ultimate spa reward.

It's day 36 in camp and whilst Brian is making the tribe laugh with his goggles/smoke shield, Benji is plotting to overthrow Mat the Godfather in the biggest move of the game. Benji and Shonee sit on a log discussing how they can get rid of the big honcho and know they need to get someone else on board so they have the numbers.

With the demise of Mat, aka The Godfather, his blindsided buddies Steve, Sharn and Shane are in shock. In stark contrast the freshly formed Mighty Ducks, with new recruits Monika and Brian, celebrate and plan to keep flying in their formation.

It's day 40 in camp and the end is in sight for the remaining seven. Ever since Mat left, Shane has been leading the champions alliance and with 10 days left to go, she's on a mission to make sure it stays that way until the end.

The Champs are left wounded and at the bottom of the tribe. And for the Champs their day only gets worse, when they receive some tree mail which results in the Dead Man Walking being sent to exile. Down but not out, the Champs know their only hope to stay in the game is to convince Monika to come back to the Good Side.

After sending Steve home during last night's Tribal Council, Brian is sitting pretty as Grubby, King of the tribe. Alone in the forest, he feasts on pawpaw to keep up his strength. He has a strong alliance with Monika, Shonee and Fenella, as well as a hidden immunity idol in his back pocket.

With five days to go, we see the top five Survivors set their sights on how to get to the end. Shane and Sharn are in an alliance while Brian is positioned perfectly, as the last man standing, who has an idol in his pocket, and his two girls Monika and Shonee by his side.

Its Day 47 and the final four wake up feeling proud that they are still in the game. As they notch up day 47 on the tree, Shonee reflects on the fact that there are only three people between her and the half a million-dollar prize money. Since last tribal council she has flipped on her alliance with Brian and has joined the Shhh alliance.

Now just three Champions remain: Brian, Shane and Sharn. As the sun rises, they trek across the island towards the final immunity challenge. Whoever earns the immunity necklace today will also get to choose who they will face at the final tribal council, and will have a fifty percent chance of winning $500,000 - and the title of Sole Survivor.
