Taking Fire

101st Airborne rookies JJ McCool and Kyle Boucher are deployed to COP Michigan, one of the deadliest combat bases in Afghanistan. McCool packs a helmet cam and begins to document a year that would change the men forever.

After three months in Afghanistan, the unit suffers a devastating hit. For a rookie medic, one mistake and his sergeant will be paralyzed. He takes the responsibility, unaware that the next soldier calling for help might be him.

After four months in Afghanistan, Sgt. Adams now has stronger reasons to make it back home alive. He is also more determined to get his men home safely, but it won' be easy, as they're getting desensitized to the non-stop fire.

It’s the Afghan election and the 101st Airborne is tasked with providing security for voting. As RPGs rain down on the COP and Outpost Pride Rock, the soldiers face a grueling battle with brutal consequences.

The 101st prepares to leave Afghanistan, and after a year in the Korangal, the soldiers are changed men. Fast forward six years, and a reunion promises some peace.
