Taskmaster is back with five new hyper-competitive comedians all hoping to get their hands on the hallowed Taskmaster trophy. Greg Davies and Alex Horne return to judge and adjudicate the attempts of Hugh Dennis, Joe Lycett, Lolly Adefope, Mel Giedroyc and Noel Fielding as they aim to be the best at painting a model they can't see, fell a load of rubber ducks and beautifully destroy a cake.

Five comics brace themselves for yet more strange assignments set by their intimidating overlord, the Taskmaster himself, Greg Davies. It's episode two, in which Lolly Adefope tries her hand at long distance painting, Hugh Dennis is comprehensively befuddled by an egg and Alex Horne is forced to report Noel Fielding for some flagrant cheating.

The onslaught of tasks continues as Greg Davies ruthlessly judges the competitors' varying approaches to his devious requests. Play along at home as Greg tries to spot the five comics once they've camouflaged themselves. And then don't play along at home when they attempt to herd dogs and chickens.

The Taskmaster Greg Davies orders five helpless comics to complete more tasks using their creative minds and dextrous bodies. It's nearly the halfway point of the series, so competition is hotting up: What will Mel Giedroyc do to a humble pommel horse? Should Hugh Dennis climb that high? And why are Alex Horne and Noel Fielding dancing like a pair of shrews?

The series has just past the halfway point and the Taskmaster trophy is edging ever closer to gaining a new owner. Show five sees Greg Davies and able assistant Alex Horne engage in role-play to assess the success of a throwing task. Plus Swedishman Fred receives several wetsuit-based video calls, Hugh Dennis has a good old tug and we learn about communication breakdown in the younger generation.

Five comedians continue to vie for the highly-coveted golden sculpture of Taskmaster Greg Davies's bonce. Alex Horne supervises the tasks as Mel Giedroyc's good nature is tested to its limits, Joe Lycett shows no mercy to a cute little camel and Hugh Dennis risks it all in a seemingly simple sleeping bag challenge.

Taskmaster Greg Davies hands out more merciless judgements in the penultimate episode of the series. Loyal assistant Alex Horne provides vital data analysis as usual, while the five comics continue to battle it out for the Golden Head of Glory. Hugh Dennis wields a blade - again, Noel Fielding can't understand German and Mel Giedroyc destroys a mannequin.

It's the series finale so one of the five courageous comedians will end up strutting around proudly with Greg Davies's golden trophy head in their mucky paws. Alex Horne keeps the tasks running fairly smoothly as Noel Fielding finds an unlikely soul mate, Lolly Adefope shows everyone the money and Mel Giedroyc regrets putting M&Ms on her shopping list.
