The story concerns the poisoning of a retired realtor, who at one time was a partner in a cafe venture with a man who supposedly vanished with $50,000, but really was killed. Dr. Robert Ordway (Warner Baxter) learns that the nephew of the slain man did the poisoning to get his money.
