When 17-year-old Lea Morel fails to return home after a night out celebrating her birthday, her family is thrown into their worst nightmare. Police officers, led by Bertrand Molina, desperately search to find the missing teen.

Conflicting reports about the night of Lea's disappearance exasperate Molina and Guerin and slow down the progress of their investigation. But as the officers sift through the discrepancies, they discover that Lea had secrets of her own.

Lea's mysterious phone call to Julien leads Molina and Guerin to change the direction of their inquiries. As the officers learn more about the night Lea went missing, the Morels begin to turn on one another, unsure of whom to trust anymore.

Molina interrogates the man claiming to have murdered Lea but doesn't believe his confession. However, when following up on some of the man's claims, the officers make shocking discoveries.

With Lea's fate now known, the Morel family must pick up the pieces and learn to live life without her. The police continue their investigation, and new information brings them closer to uncovering the truth.

After Nicolas's body is found with a confession to Lea's murder, Molina and Guerin seem to have caught the culprit. But evidence from the autopsy reveals that there is still more to the story.

The Morels celebrate young Zoe's birthday despite their grief. Romain brings new evidence to Molina and Guerin, and the officers investigate yet another suspect.

The Morels try to move on with their lives, but Tomas has reservations about Chris's behavior, and Julien is suspicious after his brother mentions a key piece of evidence.
