Last season, Drew was left at the altar by his runaway bride. The wedding fiasco makes Drew realize he's really in love with longtime friend Kellie, but as their relationship progresses, Drew can't get the girl of his dreams to commit. Meanwhile, love is a battlefield for Mimi as she copes with single motherhood and dating after Drew's brother leaves her.

Drew goes to extremes while coaching his young nephew, Gus (recurring guest star MATTHEW JOSTEN), at soccer, and the little guy's aggressive playing terrifies his teammates. Meanwhile, Lewis is attracted to Kellie's beautiful cousin, April (JENNIFER JOSTYN), despite Kellie's warnings that April has serious emotional problems.

Drew's new fun work environment changes for the worse when easygoing boss Evan (recurring guest star KYLE HOWARD) leaves on a yoga retreat, and spoilsport co-worker Traylor (recurring guest star KAITLIN OLSON) seduces Evan's partner, Scott (recurring guest star JONATHAN MANGUM), convincing him to get rid of coffee breaks and the foosball table.

Drew and Kellie reach a milestone in their relationship when they exchange house keys. But things go bad fast when Drew's boss, Scott (recurring guest star JONATHAN MANGUM), asks Drew to help hide the fact that Scott is cheating on new girlfriend Traylor (recurring guest star KAITLIN OLSON), promising Drew seats in the corporate box at the Browns football game.

When Kellie makes a very big announcement, Drew becomes more determined than ever to get her to commit to him. But his plan goes awry when he tries to enlist Kellie's parents, Don (recurring guest star MICHAEL GROSS) and Annette (recurring guest star SUSAN SULLIVAN), in his campaign to make Kellie his bride.

When his dad tumbles off Drew's roof and dies, Drew is devastated--but he's even more upset when he reads his late father's journal and discovers that he isn't mentioned once.

After talking to two sets of exasperated parents, Drew and Kellie begin to worry about their own impending parenthood. Drew reacts by going on a whirlwind tour with Lewis and Oswald of all the nearby drinking establishments he hasn't been to before, causing him to oversleep and miss Kellie's first sonogram appointment.

Drew can't figure out why he is no longer able to control his toddler nephew, Gus (recurring guest star MATTHEW JOSTEN). Whenever he baby-sits Gus, the kid turns into a terror, fueling Kellie's fear that Drew won't make a good father. Meanwhile, when Lewis and Oswald learn that Mimi is dating a wealthy widower, they comb the obituary pages to find eligible women who have just lost their husbands.

Since Kellie cannot drink alcohol while she's pregnant, Drew promises to stop as well. However, that is easier said than done, especially with Lewis and Oswald as friends. Meanwhile, Mimi becomes fixated on the handsome new messenger, Lance (REICHEN LEHMKUHL), at work and invents any excuse to have a package delivered.

Feeling sorry for the lonely couple who just moved in next door, Kellie insists that Drew make friends with the husband, Buddy (FRENCH STEWART - "3rd Rock from the Sun"). However, her plan backfires when Drew's new best friend won't give him a moment's peace.

Drew wants to give Kellie her dream vacation in Italy, but he only has $1,000 for the trip. It looks hopeless--until he visits Lewis' bargain travel agent, Fred Tuttle (FRED WILLARD - "A Mighty Wind"). Unfortunately, when Fred absconds with Drew's money, Drew and Kellie must somehow convince their recalcitrant co-worker, Traylor (recurring guest star KAITLIN OLSON), to help get them to Italy.

Wanting Drew and her father, Don (recurring guest star MICHAEL GROSS), to bond, Kellie suggests that the men go into business together fixing up a house and then selling it for profit. But when Don's perfectionist standards are too high, Drew walks out on the arrangement. Meanwhile, Mimi turns to matchmaker Larry Almada (recurring guest star IAN GOMEZ) to find her a love connection.

When Drew needs to earn more money in order to support his and Kellie's impending baby, Lewis formulates a scheme. They bet on a secret experimental greyhound being developed at DrugCo that is supposedly unbeatable at the racetrack.

When bus driver Tony (BILL COBBS), who is only six months away from retirement, has an accident, he begs Drew to lie about it so Tony won't get fired. But fearing another mishap, Drew tells the truth. Guilt-ridden, he convinces Scott (recurring guest star JONATHAN MANGUM) to hire Tony at neverendingstore.com--but he soon learns that no good deed goes unpunished.

Pregnant Kellie feels ugly, so Drew tries to charm her into feeling better. His efforts work, but just as she's getting in a romantic mood, Drew sees a three-dimensional sonogram of their baby. His imagination gets the best of him, and he cannot stop visualizing the infant--putting a major crimp in his and Kellie's sex life.

In the aftermath of his wedding disaster, Drew tries to sort out his true feelings for Kellie as he leaves for his honeymoon alone. Meanwhile, deciding that a honeymoon is a terrible thing to waste, Lewis and Oswald have already headed to Mexico and checked into Drew's hotel room, where a Spanish-impaired Oswald falls for a beautiful woman--clueless to the fact that she's a prostitute.

Mimi insists that Drew behave nicely towards gay couple Russell (CURRIE GRAHAM) and Dean (SEAN O'BRYAN), who are the parents of little Gus' (recurring guest star MATTHEW JOSTEN) only friend, especially because the guys care for Gus after school for no charge.

Drew resorts to desperate measures when lovelorn Mimi finally dates a new guy, Tyler (TODD STASHWICK), an unemployed artist who moves into the house and proceeds to greedily use Drew's possessions and take advantage of Mimi. When his plan to make Gus (recurring guest star MATTHEW JOSTEN) hate Tyler fails, Drew hires a burly man to scare Tyler away--but even that scheme has unintended consequences.

After Drew gives Gus (recurring guest star MATTHEW JOSTEN) a wood-burning crafts kit, Mimi's house burns down, and she blames Drew. Drew guiltily invites them to live with him, but it's not long before he regrets that decision. Meanwhile, Kellie becomes exasperated trying to teach Oswald some basic economics.

Having learned that Gus is a pyromaniac, Mimi puts him in therapy and tries to persuade an insurance investigator, Owen that her house burned down by accident, hoping to receive a large payment. Since Drew is desperate to get Mimi out of his house, he eagerly supports the lie--as do Lewis and Kellie--but when the whole scheme depends on Gus lying, problems occur.

Drew and Kellie have a great sex life, but their widely differing political views keep causing problems in their relationship. They decide to keep a list of topics to avoid, but it becomes too massive to carry around, so the couple must figure out another way to deal with the dilemma.

Kellie hates strip clubs, so guilty Drew lies to her about going to one with Lewis and Oswald. However, Lewis' neck is injured during a particularly enthusiastic lap dance, and Drew is forced to testify when Lewis tries to collect damages from the club. After Kellie learns the truth, she and Drew end up arguing in court.

When Mimi begins dating Larry Almada (recurring guest star IAN GOMEZ), Drew fantasizes that she finally moves out of his house. Unfortunately, Mimi's estranged husband, Steve (recurring guest star JOHN CARROLL LYNCH), returns from Sri Lanka. Everyone wonders how Mimi will react to Steve's attempts to reconcile, especially since his Sri Lankan lover has also traveled to Cleveland to win him back.

Drew impatiently waits for the perfect opportunity to propose marriage to pregnant Kellie, but her raging hormones make anticipating her mood impossible. When Drew decides to give Kellie her grandmother's heirloom engagement ring, he seeks out Kellie's parents, Don and Annette, and discovers that their marriage is about to end.
