The Flaming Heart

A major traffic accident occurs along the Yunlong East Road Tunnel, Doctor Yan Lan rushes to save a pregnant woman as Huo Yan attempts to rescue her.

As a fire breaks out in the Fujia community, Huo Yan and his team rush to save Doctor Yan Lan along with other citizens trapped in a building by communicating through the walkie-talkie. Yan Lan mistakes Chen Pin Geng as the person that saves her and goes on a date with him.

Yan Lan gets stuck in an attempt to retrieve something, Huo Yan comes to her rescue. Wang Dayin and Jiang Tong bets to see who puts out the fire first, when Dayin loses to Jiang Tong, he refuses to apologize.

When Yan Lan attempts to find the beekeeper for rock honey, she finds him injured, in need of lowering his lung pressure. Huo Yan, Chen Pingeng, and Luo Jie all disagree with the operation, in fear of harming the beekeeper.

Yan Lan discovers Huo Yan's fear of needles and takes him to get acupuncture. Yan Lan takes Huo Yan to see her "boyfriend," a little yellow dog named Xing Xing (Star). Huo Yan lays Star's tasks off and offers to be Yan Lan's new boyfriend.

Huo Yan invited Yan Lan to the fire station to personally train Yan Lan. Chen Pingeng strongly recommended Huo Yan and Yan Lan in front of Professor Ye, and wanted them to join the consumer medicine linkage plan. During a big fire, Huo Yan is injured by an iron frame bed.

Roger wrote his friendship with Yan Lan into a short novel to confess to her. Meanwhile, a dying man, unable to give his location, calls 119. Huo Yan takes a guess that leads him to finding the man's location.

After rescuing a trapped and wounded young man from an earthquake, Yan Lan rushes him to the hospital to operate on him. Huo Yan attempts to apologize for their quarrel but Yan Lan refuses.

The conflict between Yan Lan and Huo Yan resolves as he repairs the broken car. Amidst their conversation, a little girl brings food for Huo Yan. Yan Lan jokingly says to keep her present tucked and never to lose it.

Ma Qianli falls in love with Bai XianLin at first sight from a previous medical exam. At noon, a father and his child inform firefighters about missing children in a factory from the earthquake. Huo Yan and Roger are sent to find them.

When the aftershock of the earthquake is over, Yan Lan, Huo Yan, and Wang Dayin sigh of relief. Bai Xiaolin refuses to go out with Ma Qianli. Bai Xiaolin invites Huo Yan to dance. He asks Yan Lan to dance instead, as an excuse.

Yan Lan learns that she was too affectionate from drinking too much last night. Mr. Chen sends people to dispose of bodies quickly in fear of rotting and spreading of disease. When Wang Dayin and Jiang Tong met Jiang Tong's brother, Wang Dayin was so jealous he confessed and kissed Jiang Tong.

After the death of Professor Ye, Yan Lan is left alone grieving. Stationmaster Chen grieves by going to a noodle house where the two would go. Ma Qianli deliberately decided not to invite Bai Xiaolin to dinner. Wang Xiaolin agreed, but he wanted to bring Yan Lan. She doesn't pick up so Yan Lan and Bai Xiaolin rush to her house.

Yan Lan accompanied her mother to the cemetery to visit Professor Ye. Huo Yan receives a call regarding a car catching on fire, Yan Lan takes initiative to help the wounded. Wang Dayin personally took down the seat and rescued the children.

Wang Dayin applies for the firefighter department. He gives Jiang Tong a magic trick show and proposes with a diamond ring. Ma Qianli hears about Bai Xiaolin's blind date and confesses. Dr. Yan Lan graduates and gives a speech. She reminds the audience that healers do not heal themselves, but saving others will heal yourself.

Xian is afraid her emotions would affect Yan Lan's feelings for Huo Yan, so she keeps her distance. After not receiving a reply from Xian, Yan Lan goes to look for her at her house. Yan Lan tells Huo Yan, and Huo Yan checks up on his mother, as well as having a heart-to-heart exchange about his father.

Yan Lan practices cooking in the Dongshan Station in preparation for Xian's birthday. Li Yianliang is speechless and politely offers to help. After Xian cries from receiving a dress as a gift, she opens up about Huo Yan's sacrifice from rescuing Yan Lan. Yan Lan feels guilty and is determined to treat Huo Yan and Xian well.

All firefighters celebrate Huo Yan's success at the Dongshan Station. Yan Lan tells everyone that Roger likes Xian and everyone starts teasing him. Roger goes to the hospital to wait for Xian and treats her to a barbeque. Huo Yan takes Yan Lan to a class reunion but he is shocked to see someone he didn't want to see, his old classmate Han Pei.

Roger takes his investigation report home to prevent Luo from working with Han Pei. But turns out Luo has a report completely opposite from Roger's. Huo Yan wanted to catch who was following Yan Lan, so he installed a camera. Han Pei threatens Director Zhu to give up the USB flash drive.

Huo Yan opened the USB drive but couldn't understand it. Huo Yan sees that Roger is leaving and talks to Roger. Seeing that Roger is leaving, Chen Pingeng forces Roger to tell him the truth. Han Pei listened to Yan Lan, and heard Ma Qianli talk about Roger, and learned that Roger had a bad relationship with Huo Yan. Han Pei offers to cooperate with Roger.

After talking with Roger, Huo Yan agrees to protect Yan Lan together. Yan Lan asks Huo Yan if she could read the information in the USB drive. Huo Yan says to not participate if she reads it. She notices that new medicine is the medicine that angioma patients use to treat angioma.

Huo Yan wanted to promote Wang Dayin to the position of deputy stationmaster, but Wang Dayin felt that he was not capable enough, so he refused. Roger wants to renegotiate the shares of the new medicine. A reporter finds that the medicine contains an excessive amount of formaldehyde and exposes the quality inspection. Yan Lan brings the data to the police. Han Pei notices Director Li is missing.

When Huo Yan tried to find Han Pei's location to save Yan Lan, he was attacked by Han Pei's men from behind and was beaten. Huo asks Bai Xiaolin to bandage his wounds. Han Pei kidnaps Yan Lan and innocent children, forcing Huo Yan to choose between the two. Luckily, Roger appears to help.

As Yan Lan pretends to be asleep under amnesia, Huo Yan gets emotional about their past. Lao Wu returned to Dongshan Station and got together with everyone. Wang Dayin was also admitted to the Fire Academy. At the award ceremony at Dongshan Station, Huo Yan proposes to Yan Lan and she happily agrees.
