The Goodbye Family: The Animated Series

The Goodbye family, town undertakers, attend a seance at the home of psychic Richard-Lael Lillard in an effort to contact their grandmother Yeast about a pressing issue. However, after several attempts, all does not go as planned and hilarity ensues.

While Orphie's parents are hawking their funeral wares, Orphie, a self appointed sheriff, notices an inmate that has broken out of jail. Ouiji, her cat and deputy, was supposed to be watching the prisoner, but instead follows her owner for treats. Meanwhile, an odd fellow named Souq, who only seems to say "Howdy," is lurking nearby.

The Goodbye Family is tending chores at the undertaker shop when Orphie, out of boredom, comes upon a curious plaything - horse's snot. She is mesmerized by the stretchy quality of the goobers and can do nothing else but fidget with it. The town falls into chaos from her absence.

The Goodbyes are at home putting up their seasonal Nothom tree, a root from the underworld that sprouts through the floorboards every year. Orphie is peculiarly quiet, thanks to her Cousin Kook, as she secretly hides a special gift for Otis and Pyridine on this holiday. The family notices her behavior and begins to worry.

When the town of Nicklesworth has their annual pie contest, Rusty Potts leaves his claim to enter his Shoo-Fly pie that includes an old boot as its main ingredient. Unknowingly, following the old miner is an exotic Fairy released in his last strike and looking to grant him a wish.

Otis is playing hide-and-shriek with his pickle and hits his head in the process falling over a chair. The family rushes him to the doctor, not for his health, but to save their furniture from his playful destruction. At the doctor there is an unruly cast of characters waiting to be seen as what is prescribed may be more costly than the so-called illness.

The Nicklesworth Bigwig Society plans a new corset factory. It needs a labor force while the disparaged newcomers arrive in town looking for a break. Orphie and her pals attend a theater show but are confronted by bullies. Meanwhile, the settlers protest as an alien race is looking to inhabit.
