Three women in different times; related only by a parallel in their personal lives. Virginia Woolf, in 1920's London, is battling insanity as she writes her first great novel, "Mrs. Dalloway". A wife and mother in 1949 Los Angeles, reads "Mrs. Dalloway" and considers making a change in her life. And a woman in New York City today, in love with a brilliant poet dying of aids.
