"The House on Trubnaya Square" is a satirical comedy set in Moscow during the height of the New Economic Policy. The public is shown through the lives of the inhabitants living in the house on Trubnaya, offering social commentary on the changing state of the Soviet Union. A country girl, Parasha Pitunova soon arrives at the house on Trubnaya street to take on a job in the city.
