The Jewish Cardinal

Jean-Marie Lustiger (Laurent Lucas), the son of Polish-Jewish immigrants, joins the priesthood and rises to be appointed the Archbishop of Paris, all while still maintaining his cultural identity as a Jew. But when Carmelite nuns plan to build a convent on the grounds of Auschwitz and he is asked to arbitrate the dispute between the two communities, Lustiger is suddenly forced to choose a side.
