Sue and Brick have to scramble to catch up when Frankie discovers that they missed the first day of school. And Sue finally gets her braces off on the sixth season premiere.

While Sue (EDEN SHER) anxiously awaits the arrival of her college dorm roommate, Axl and Hutch find their house overrun by ants; and Brick gets his own personal school bodyguard.

Frankie is shocked when flannel-loving Mike decides to wear a Hawaiian shirt; and Sue scares Devin (GIA MANTEGNA) when she accidentally reveals that Axl is in love with her.

Frankie is shocked when Mike wants in on one of his brother Rusty’s crazy business ideas, while Sue resorts to living in her car to get away from her horrible roommate.

When Mike becomes more quiet and distant than usual, Frankie calls on Reverend TimTom (PAUL HIPP) to find out what’s wrong. Meanwhile, Sue loses Brick at college.

Halloween finds the Hecks in their own Twilight Zone-type stories, with Brick providing an introduction to each. BROOKE SHIELDS returns as trashy neighbor Rita Glossner.

Frankie’s mom decides to join her daughter in the annual homecoming tailgate and ends up embarrassing her. And Mike looks to Brick to help him win the tailgate cornhole tournament.

The Hecks forgo Thanksgiving after Frankie finds out that she’s out of a job until January and needs to pick up holiday work at Heritage Village. FAITH FORD guest stars.

Frankie invites Mike to join her on an all-expenses paid trip to Des Moines, where she must attend a dental convention; while Axl informs Sue that he’ll be living in her dorm room.

Frankie decides to skip going to church and watch a Christmas Eve service at home on TV, but a string of events make their evening anything but peaceful.

Sue takes part in the college’s sorority rush in hopes of being accepted into a house and a social circle, while Axl attempts to introduce Mike to social media.

Axl gets a taste of the real world when his first day as a business intern doesn’t go as planned; And Sue’s professor (JOSH COOKE) challenges her to open up her thinking.

Feeling guilty over floating Frankie’s 50th birthday for too long, Mike enlists Axl and Brick to help him set up a surprise party for her.

Brick becomes a tyrannical director for a school project; Sue’s new roommate goes on a buying spree, and charges Sue for half; and Axl’s boss (ALAN RUCK) confides in him.

Frankie & Mike take Brick to his first movie in an actual theater, while Sue thinks she might have a chance at becoming Logan’s (DAVID HULL) girlfriend.

Mike attempts to help Brick become more responsible in his quest to become a man; Sue tries to find herself a boyfriend; and Axl and Hutch find a new home – in a Winnebago.

An excited Frankie looks forward to re-bonding and taking care of Sue and Axl, who both have to stay home during Spring Break to recuperate from having their wisdom teeth removed.

The Donahues join the Hecks on a Spring Break vacation to Kentucky that doesn’t go as smoothly as planned.

Sue develops a crush on one of her college professors, while Frankie and Mike meet Brick’s girlfriend Cindy’s equally quirky parents.

Frankie finds herself on the defensive when she meets Sue and her new boyfriend, Jeremy (WILL GREEN), the school activist. And Axl considers quitting football.

Frankie finds it hard to relax on her new backyard lanai when noisy neighbors move in next door. Meanwhile Axl & Hutch open a grilled cheese foodtruck out of their Winnebago.

Frankie gives the family a “pass” on Mother’s Day this year, but makes each of them do something nice for the others after she becomes the recipient of a stranger’s kind gesture.

With Axl & Sue home for summer vacation, Frankie and Mike attempt to set up a curfew for them, while Brick attempts to find out who he’s up against for Middle School valedictorian.

On the 7th season finale, Frankie’s on a mission to ensure Brick sings a song at his middle school graduation, while Axl finds himself being mocked by a 10-year-old copy of himself.
