The Real World

It's time for another set of strangers to meet on MTV's Real World. This time we're bringing it to Brooklyn where the eight roommates will settle down in Red Hook and experience the real New York City.

JD and Chet's personalities clash over and over again, causing tension in the house.

Ryan resists an attraction to his biggest fan, Baya. Katelynn's boyfriend becomes distant, so she starts flirting, drinking and trying to find herself. Devyn sets her sights on Scott, and Chet flirts with Scott's friend, Alex.

When JD tries to embarrass Devyn in a public singing contest, she questions his loyalty and starts pursuing her performing career more seriously.

Ryan remembers 9/11. Chet looks for other ways to promote his hosting career. Scott breaks up with his girlfriend and starts playing the field, but has the roommates and Devyn to answer to.

JD takes the roommates to Gettysburg for an AIDs fundraiser and a modern day civil war breaks out between the guys and girls. Katelynn finally opens up to Ryan.

When Devyn's ex-fiance visits, the guys convince her it's time to get real. JD fails to resolve his differences with Devyn and Sarah and teams up with the guys for a rat prank. Ryan's girlfriend Belle comes to visit.

JD starts a new war in the house when the girls talk trash about the guys and refuse to do housework. Ryan decides to pursue his interests and enrolls in the NY Film Academy.

Chet prepares for an MTV hosting interview. Katelynn begins an advocacy project and visits her transgender friend after feeling disrespected by Chet. Devyn gets an internship as a human hanger with the Jovani dress company.

When the roommates receive an invitation to organize a screening for the new film about former RW alum Pedro Zamora's life, they compete over who should control the project. Katelynn's choice in career change upsets Scott.

When Ryan begins to enjoy his life away from the military and the war, he starts opening up to the roommates about his issues only to find out at the last minute that he's being redeployed to Iraq. With Election Day 2008 nearing, the roommates take passionate political stances.

Ryan copes with the news of his redeployment to Iraq, crushed about having to put his goals, plans, and girlfriend Belle on hold. The Roommates take a trip to Atlantic City. Devyn acquires a puppy and gets a crash course in responsibility.

This is the true story of eight strangers... For the first time, "The Real World: Brooklyn" brings together eight (not seven) complex individuals from different cultural backgrounds under one roof.
