Bolivar's girlfriend and mother are so impressed with Bolivar's hairstyling abilities that they invest in a salon for him to operate. When Bolivar is summoned to stylize the hair of a famous movie star, she is so impressed by his work that she arranges for him to have his own Hollywood salon.

Garage owner George Appleby suspects a customer of being a maniacal killer. When the police refuse to believe him, George and his wife take the law into their own hands and set up a trap for the suspected killer. When the Appleby's plan backfires, Clara Appleby becomes the killer's next victim.

When artist Gregory Grumbacher appears on Clem Kadiddlehopper's farm, he paints a portrait of Clem, who immediately turns the painting around, and creates a masterpiece in surrealism when Grumbacher steps away. Within two weeks, Kadiddlehopper becomes the talk of New York's art world.

George Appleby and his wife win a new home, but it comes with one contingency: if they move out for any reason, they forfeit ownership of their prize. What the Appleby's don't realize is that the house is setup to appear haunted by the sponsors of the giveaway.
