The Red Skelton Show

In a tribute to the Miles Standish-John Alden-Priscilla Mullins legend, Red Skelton plays the part of John Alden who ends up uniting the Pilgrims and Indigenous people in Thanksgiving harmony.

When San Fernando and his daughter make a stop along the Mississippi River to perform a show, Red's mind is on money and poker. Upon cheating a man out of house and home, Red discovers that the man he cheated has a son who knows Red's daughter and wants to marry her.

Even after striking it rich after discovering vast oil deposits on his family's property, Clem's mind is still fixated on wooing Daisy June to abandon her Hollywood dreams and marry him instead. As is most often the case, to earn his lady's hand, he will have to be once, twice, three times the man.
