The Sniffer

During a hunt, ex-prosecutor Yerofeyev was killed. Yerofeyev's friends try to find the killer along with Sib, starting a search in the forest. But they never realize that this time they are the hunted, not the hunters. And why is it so important for Yerofeyev's friends to overtake Lebedev and Sniffer in their search for the criminal?

The Sniffer arrives in Tallinn for his father's funeral. He finds out that his father left him a letter, but the envelope disappeared. The Sniffer suspects his father's friend Johann. Still, it's too late to investigate: Johann is cruelly slain. Meanwhile, Viktor is suspected of abusing authority and temporarily suspended from service. Lebedev goes to Tallinn to help his friend.

The body of opera diva Anastasia Ilyinskaya has been found in her own bathroom, with a broken safebox next to it. Three out of four suspects have strong alibis. The answer to the question who the criminal is might seem obvious at first glance. Viktor also manages to find out the connection between the deaths of Johann and Elena and also the name of the next potential victim of Tallinn killer.

The filming of a popular reality show Marry a Prince is disrupted - one of the girls has disappeared. The Sniffer can't find a trace, but soon the body of the girl is discovered in the lake close by. The Sniffer instantly determines the killer; now he only needs the average. Meanwhile it turns out that Professor Lokmus is the founder of GI corporation collecting and storing umbilical blood.

The Sniffer and Viktor manage to talk to Heinrich Lokmus in person. During the meeting they get a confirmation of the professor's connection with the victims and warn him he might be the next. On the eve of the ambitious Richard III premiere the theatre art director was killed. During the investigation, another murder in the theatre follows. Will the Sniffer be able to solve the case?

The journalist of a local paper tells Viktor some valuable facts about Lokmus. They also manage to identify the killer behind all murders. Soon the journalist's body is found in the editorial office. Viktor decides to penetrate GI through Irina Nordin posing as a client. The Sniffer finds out the truth about his family. He understands he's involved in a dangerous game again.

Having found wiretaps planted in his father's house, the Sniffer decides to yield some information to Thomas expecting more in return. Due to the disrupted operation, general gives Lebedev 48 hours to solve the case, otherwise the colonel will be dismissed. Viktor obtains the journalist's last letter where he informs who and why took the blood of a child from Lagunin family in GI bank.

Two SIB employees are killed, and the Sniffer has disappeared. Viktor is sure that Lokmus is behind his friend's kidnapping and he was the one who commissioned all the murders. However, Serdyukov continues collecting the facts of Lebedev abusing authority, bringing his case towards dismissal or court trial. Viktor has even less time left to prove the professor's guilt and to save the Sniffer.
