The young socialist mayor of Saint-Juire, a small village in southern Vendée, has set his heart on building a large cultural and sports complex in the village meadow. He’s a hometown boy well liked by the local people and has managed to raise the loans needed for the complex thanks to his contacts in the Ministry of Culture.
