The Tribe Next Door

The Moffats arrive in Namibia and are overwhelmed by the site of their terraced house, recreated in the middle of a tribal village. The first Himba visitors to the house, including soon to be best mate Kandisiko, have never even climbed stairs before… but before long they are more concerned by the overwhelming amount of clothes and shoes Scarlett owns compared to their one outfit.

The second episode of the groundbreaking series find the Moffatt family getting to grips with their life, and semi-detached house, in a Namibian tribal village. Scarlett is initially shocked to discover that both her friends, Kandisiko and Kaiterau, while married are also allowed to have multiple partners… as are their husbands.

Mark meanwhile is taught how being a Himba man means being good at looking after cattle, is gifted 6 which he loses in 5 minutes, and then spends an uncomfortable 3 days desperately trying to track them down… and being told to his face how stupid it makes him on the eyes of those who have grown up with cattle as their wealth.

It's the final week the Moffats and Himba will spend together. The Moffats host the village Chief for afternoon tea only to discover inviting his family means most of the village.
