The Ultimate Braai Master

The new teams converge at the Monkey Valley Resort in Noordhoek, Cape Town for the start of an epic 70-day culinary road trip where teams will face new challenges in pursuit of the title, the cash, the new 4x4 Renault Duster and other awesome prizes.

All fifteen teams travel to Witsand on the East Coast to compete in a high-pressure fish Braai (BBQ) challenge. After an unexpected river adventure, they are split into five teams & the resulting elimination challenge sends the first team home.

The Cape Columbine Nature Reserve is the host of a traditional West Coast themed triple-challenge for the remaining fourteen teams. The elimination challenge ends in a double-elimination & two teams are sent home.

The teams travel to the rocky Cederberg Mountains. The game gets tough as teams are divided into four groups to produce potjie dishes in a gruelling five-hour challenge. Several teams struggle, and the elimination challenge sends two more teams packing.

Only ten teams remain as they travel back to the Diamond Diver Cottages on the West Coast to Braai (BBQ) five different chicken dishes in two hours. The challenge culminates in a nail biting elimination challenge for three teams.

The remaining teams cross the border to Namibia to the banks of the Orange River. After a night of rest under the stars, the contestants face an intense six-hour challenge that tests concentration. The challenge ends in a surprise elimination.

Diaz Point marks the seventh leg of their journey as the teams participate in a welcomed Rewards Challenge. They must prepare a variety of snoek dishes for over 200 local school children in the town of Lüdertiz, Namibia.

Deep in the desert, the teams travel to Sossusvlei where the group challenges have come to an end. Teams go head-to-head to avoid being sent to the elimination challenge. In the venison challenge, the top teams get to Fast Forward to the tenth challenge.

Tensions are rising between the remaining seven teams as they travel to the Fish River Canyon to compete in a challenge that's all about quintessential roadhouse food. Many teams don't make the perfect burger & the two bottom teams face elimination.

After a freezing trip down the Orange River, the teams return to South Africa for a Braai (BBQ) pizza challenge. Some teams tragically burn their results so are sent into an elimination challenge and one teams journey for the title comes to an end.

The top five teams compete in the most challenging competition yet in the desolate Karoo where water is scarce. After an exhausting challenge, there is no elimination round and one team is immediately sent home from the competition.

Only four teams remain as they travel to the Buffelsdrift Game Lodge in the Little Karoo. The ultimate adventure race is in store for the teams to complete five challenges before they're able to start their fires to create braaied (BBQ) Ostrich.

The final three teams compete in the thrilling culmination for the top prize of the R500 000 ($40,000), the Renault Duster SUV, a spice trip to India and the title of the Ultimate Braai Master.
