This Is My City

Tim and Thomas kick off their three-month world trip in gorgeous city of Lisbon, Portugal. In the hands of local gems Francisco and Rita, they get a taste for Lisbon's outdoor drinking policy, attend a private Fado concert, go to an enchanted forest in the mountains and take in almost every banging club in town. They leave Lisbon with two great new friends.

Thomas and Tim enjoy Berlin's empty spaces and anti-capitalist vibe with nerdy but charming industrial designer, Martin. Somewhere between his 'efficient' scooter tour of the city and a night clubbing in a dilapidated mansion, they help street artist Nomad make a piece of controversial video art in an abandoned swimming pool.

Upon arrival in Serbia, Thomas and Tim find out they're staying with host Marko, his mum and her cat. After coffee and biscuits, Serbian style, they meet their bodyguard, Drakula, who also happens to be a 90's Serbian punk legend. A weekend of Eastern European chaos follows.

Tim and Thomas land in Beirut and wonder what's behind all the fancy hotels and brand new shopping centers. Host Pedros is the key to the gritty underground and before they know it they are attending a recording session with The Incompetents, meeting politically engaged artist Alfred and chatting with hip hop group Katibe 5 in a Palestinian refugee camp.

Host Lin Lin is a hot-pants-wearing 4ft-nothing Chinese firecracker and socialite. In just one day they bike around Beijing, enjoy a private mix session with three time DMC Champion DJ Wordy, eat Hutong hot pot, crash a 7-star hotel penthouse party and watch the raising of the flag in Tiananmen Square at dawn.

Tokyo presents Tim and Thomas with three hosts instead of the usual one. Tomo takes them on a fish-shopping trip with 'The Master' (a sushi chef) and then later on to his restaurant where they eat the spoils. With Masa, they go to a peaceful temple, multiple (less peaceful) arcades and a bar made of ice. Finally, Takeki takes them on a tour of tiny amusement parks and even tinier sake bars.

Tim and Thomas attempt to spend a wholesome weekend with designer and mother of two, Beci Orpin. Their stay is far from wholesome but it includes flying fox bats in the suburbs, a very serious coffee tasting, multiple barbecues, a club that starts at 8am, a beach box sunset and some quality family time.

Host Joe Lindsay from New Zealand band, Fat Freddy's Drop, takes Thomas and Tim free diving for Crayfish, barbecuing the catch, four-wheel driving off cliffs, beer-tasting, cocktail tasting, burlesque life drawing, improvised Jazz listening and reverse bungee jumping.
